Critic reviews

"It's about time this book was written. It is a long-overdue manifesto for the mobile lifestyle, and Tim Ferriss is the ideal ambassador. This will be huge." (Jack Canfield)

My favorite book for encouragement!

This updated version is worth the listen even if you have the first edition because it is filled with real life examples of people who went through with the steps in the first book and were successful.

I wish there would've been some people who didn't make it and why. I feel like a lot of people wouldn't have been successful due to family responsibility. There isn't much advice for people who are married and have children. Tim is obviously single at the time of writing and able to focus on things without family responsibility.

This book makes you want to get up and do something...but sometimes reality hits if your spouse isn't going along with your ideas.

Excellent read and resources...

Great book

I have a bit of a different outlook on business than the author, but I definitely learned a lot of new things and have changed my business to apply some of the things I learned. This book was worth the money.

Still, this book was not as good as "The E-Myth Revisited." That was easily the best business book I've ever read, and I've read a lot....

Lot of information

There is a lot of information in this book. Specific places to go and find resourses which is great to have but a little tough to write all down when listening to the book driving. I might buy a print version as well just to have as a reference. Otherwise, great book!

Great story! The narration is SUPERIOR!

I had to double check if the book was narrated by Timothy himself because the narrator really seemed to capture what I assumed the author was thinking. Most professional narrators don't capture the emotion and emphasis as author-narrators do. Once again, the narration is superior.

Frankly, I'm only about 30 min into the audiobook, but the story and content has already captured my attention, and thought process to some degree.

A great how-to, with actual step by step direction

I gotta tell ya... I read/listen to a ton of this type of book. What constantly frustrates me about many of these reads it that it is all theory and philosophy. 4HWW is NOT that at all! It's cover to cover hands on activity and exercise to get you on the road to what's really important to you.

I'm in the middle of my third full listen, but have listened to several chapters over and over. It's definitely worth a monthly credit. Highly recommended.

Overall pretty inspiring and decently informative

Would you listen to The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated) again? Why?

I would listen to this again, and as a matter of fact, listened to it a second time just a week after I finished the first time. There were so many good points and I wasn't able to take notes, that I just felt like another listen was mandatory.

Any additional comments?

This book definitely lit a fire under my bottom and there are a few key points that anyone wishing for a better life should pay close attention to. Tim's philosophy on living is somewhat unique and quite refreshing... a bit against the grain in a good way. My only disappointment was that Tim wasn't the actual voice actor for the book, but then again, after you listen to it, you'll understand exactly why he didn't do the read himself, so... perhaps that's not a complaint. It is a bit long and there are times where the book seems to veer off course from the main point of the book, such as when he gets too, detailed about traveling and such, but who can really complain about extra info that some people might find useful and interesting.

Life-changing book

I own a couple of service-based companies and I work typically 60 to 80 hours a week. I was already in the process of automating several aspects of my business when I read this book in March 2016. To say that it has changed my life is putting it mildly. I've now executed even more automation than I originally had planned and now I work approximately 20 hours a week which is more than four however it is a good start for me. I have a virtual assistant in Bangladesh for three dollars an hour who does 95% of all the work in my real estate business. My next step is to fix my email problem. I get about 100 to 150 emails a day. 99.9% of them are not important or urgent. I will soon start delegating that to my stuff so I no longer have to deal with those time-consuming minimum-wage activities. I have never in my life read a book twice but I plan on reading this one again immediately.

Listened to it three times now. Love it!

If you are feeling unmotivated and like a sloth, you need to listen to this book. This is one of the best audio books I've listened to. I have even gotten the book so I can go back and reference the information. It is like a drug that hypes me up, but in a positive way.
