Pleasantly Disturbing
I purchased this audiobook years ago in cassette form and have waited for it to be reissued. Robin Bailey performs (rather than merely reads) each of these tales and brings them to life. From the creepy gothic story of "A Terribly Strange Bed" by Wilkie Collins to the truly disturbing tale of the peculiar painting in "The Mezzotint" by M.R. James these stories will keep you company and likely keep you awake at night. A gem not to be missed.

Well-known stories, beautifully told
Being familiar with each of these stories, I turned to this title as I would to an old friend.
The late Robin Bailey gives an intelligent and nuanced performance. No complaints whatsoever.
