Gripping and Action-packed
Thus was my 3rd G.A. Henry novel and I was not disappointed. His likeable and noble characters won my loyalty from the start. Their adventures through actual events were believable and the historical knowledge I gained was fabulous.

This is a great book, but the person that reads the story does not change character voices very well. The book makes it worth the purchase though

Worth the Effort
Thorough retelling of the fall of Jerusalem. I learned so much! As usual, there were long passages describing battle techniques (not
my thing), but the story was worth seeing through till the end. I even cried at the last chapter. Best of all, it spurred my desire to learn more about the leaders in the book.

Well written and extremely entertaining,
Very well written, entertaining and historically fascinating.
The story of a young hero rising to success and working in honor is so satisfying an accomplishment and story.
The success and hardships are realistic and make me want to read more of the times of these things.
The history is amazing and accurate. It is healthy for Christians to know the things that happened shortly after Christ and to see the fulfillment of what he prophesied about the fall of the temple. It did come true.
