Decent story line but…

Reese did great and loved the other voice actors too! Story line was good but the critical feminism sprinkled throughout was unnecessary.

Different, but good.

Let me preface this by stating that I love Reese Witherspoon as an actress. That being said, a narrator she is not. It was painful to listen to at times because she was so dramatic, but I got through it because the story is good. I do recommend the book. The story had some twists and turns that were unexpected, but there were parts that were a bit dull. Some unrealistic time line of events that happened, etc. But overall, I'd give it a solid B+.

Suspense, Emotion, and Incredible Voice Performances

Gripping, cinematic, and full of twists!

I was hooked from the first chapter. Gone Before Goodbye has that perfect mix of suspense, emotional depth, and unexpected turns that keeps you listening long after you meant to stop. Maggie McCabe is such a layered character — strong, flawed, and impossible not to root for. The story moves quickly, weaving together mystery, danger, and just enough emotional backstory to make it feel real.

You can really feel the blend of Reese Witherspoon’s storytelling instincts and Harlan Coben’s trademark tension. The pacing, dialogue, and scenes all play out like a movie in your head — I wouldn’t be surprised if this one gets adapted soon.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves thrillers with heart, strong female leads, and the kind of ending that makes you go back to replay a few chapters just to catch all the clues you missed.

The plot and the narration is stellar and contemporary. I thoroughly enjoyed this very unusual thriller. You will love it too
