Publisher's summary

Actor, singer...necromancer?

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world.

Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

Truly, a song of sorrowful morning

Once again, a book from the innverse is well written and pulls on the heartstrings. Honestly, this might be a good starting point for some people because it is a side story. There are a few spoilers for the Loveland system, but I nearly cried for five times during the book and the only reason I didn’t was I was listening at work

Great singer

Andrea can sing like theirs no tomorrow. Her voice is frankly one of the most beautiful I've heard. she did justice to all the cover in this book.

Andrea is the next Idina Menzel

Pirateaba does it again, expanding their already massive Wandering Inn world with magic, new connections, and more music than ever before! Disney fans rejoice, and bask in the soothing sounds of Andie P’s magical pipes!

Major plot hole

Why doesn't the protagonist take a 3 level dip in warlock? Eldrich blast would have significantly improved her ability to deal support damage in combat.

Work of Art

I don't know who did a more amazing job, the author or the narrator. The Wandering Inn World is my favorite book series. Every book I listen to, it gets better. Gravesong is no exception.

There is actually singing in this performance.

(While this seems like a mostly negative review, I do look forward to the next book. I have enjoyed all the pirateaba stories.) There is actually singing in this performance. Not great singing, but not the worst I've heard either. I like most of the story line. The hero of the story is sometimes tedious, but given her background, and the arc of the story, it makes some sense. An overall good story, and true to the Pirateaba universe.

One chapter. That’s all it took

Andrea Parsneau and Pirate Aba do it again. One chapter that’s all it took to become hooked. Andrea delivers another stellar performance as narrator and protagonist. Not sure how I can listen to her for 19 hours and not get bored but she pulls it off. Music fantastic and the story is awesome. Great addition to the wandering inn lore

I was hesitant to purchase this audiobook.

Due to the "singing" i was dubious, but its Pirateaba! Wasn't disappointed, amazing storying as always.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🗺️ W O R L D EXPANSION 🤯

Pirate writing & Andrea performing is such a delight. I am accustomed to 25-35 hour releases in this series, so I agree with other reviews that only have one complaint about a 12 hour Pirate Aba release: I don’t want it to end. (Again this is rabid Pirate fans just being spoiled.)

I’ve grown to love this series and miss the characters like old friends. Luckily fans of the Wandering Inn series have a prolific author guiding us through these new worlds.

Thank you for sharing your work. I can hardly wait for Witch of the Webs June 11, 2024:)
