It’s the Female lead

I couldn’t finish the book because (no disrespect to the female lead) the female leads portrayals of the different characters when she changed her voice were forced. It was hard to focus on what she was saying. I will read the book. Jakobi Diem is amazing in this book.

Beautiful Love Story

This book is simply a true romance story. I went out on a limb with this one because I am a Urban Lit reader, but this was refreshing. Although a bit long so much so that I wanted to stop listening, but I couldn’t because I just had to see how this was going to end. Nice job to the author. The narrators were good, but the male voice of the female narrator takes some getting use to but the story is interesting enough that you can overlook it.

Okay story line, she was childish though

I sound care for the female narrator imitating Rens voice towards the middle and end of the novel. It sounded like she was slow and struggling. I also didn't like how Kayla tried to put blame on Ren like she didn't hide a whole major secret. How do you expect somebody to fight for you knowing their past and knowing you lies about a whole situation. He worked hard to win her only to be crapped on by her. Glad they figured it out by the end but I felt so bad for Ren.

I love this book. The main characters make you love them and want to strangle them at the same time. About live overtime and over time. lots of struggle. so good!

great read

I was so surprised by this book. It was a perfect story. I was not a fan of the female narrator, but it did not take away from the story.

Loved this book

I loved it, everything about it. I loved the entire concept. The knowing that someone is your somebody. The struggles.

I don’t give reviews but…

So look, I gave this book a chance because the author and I have the same first name (spelled differently) and because I love to listen to Jakobi, but I had THEE MOST difficult time listening to the woman narrator. Not sure if she was told to be extremely dry and to portray the men as being “slow” but it seriously was a huge S T R U G G L E to listen to her. The storyline was ok but baby girl DID NOT do the book nor the characters justice. I’m not saying she needs to throw in the towel just yet, but she most definitely needs some training/assistance. This was a rough listen.

Excellent book!!

I truly enjoyed this book and love story!! It was so well written, and the depth of the characters was really engaging. I loved that the characters were smart, and vulnerable, and so believable. I also thought both narrators were great.

Chapter Two and I’m Out

I really wanted to keep listening but the female lead was lacking. Her monotone and emotionless delivery make the words drag on. Eventually my brain started tuning her out. Maybe I’ll try to read the book myself.

great story

while the storyline was great...kyla's narrator annoyed me to no end...I guess maybe not, because I didn't like her throughout the book. She was selfish from the gate...as many times as she had to reveal her truth, self preservation won, sorta. She just got on my nerves and the female narrotor just sealed the deal. Jakobi was and is awesome in his narrativeskills.. I'm glad Wren was able to find his peace.
