Always amazing

As usually Thomas Sowell writes a thoughtful and fact based assessment. I can’t get enough of him!

Still relevant

I almost stopped listening when I realized the publish date but it's all still relevant in 2022

A mandatory read for all parents

As a member of the Baby Boomers, and having decades as a Trainer and often time Adjunct Professor I regrettably choose to no longer engage with academia do the restrictions on how today’s curriculum dictates useless off subject materials to be discussed in the very limited time allocated to classroom hours.

Still relevant

Although this book is almost 30 years old, it is still so relevant to todays education situation in America. Things are actually much worse now. If only our education leaders read this book and listened to Thomas Sowells wise words back then..
Beautifully written and very nicely read. Highly recommend

Fantastic!!

Eye opening, I knew our education was on decline, but we are in deep trouble. Mr Sowel did an outstanding job, explanating in detail what is happening and how to even fix the problem...

So.... nothing much has changed

The publication date for this is from the 1990s. However I feel that a few 21st century items have been sprinkled in.
Problems with educational innovations, teachers unions, sex education, tenured profs, expensive college education and schools dismissing parents is nothing new. So not new that Sowell can dust off an old book and have it republished as a brand new audiobook.
The only thing new to me was "death education". Most of everything else has it's current year (2022) instances that pop up in the news.
The narrator is fine and the book is interesting enough to entertain, if you are into this sort of thing.
