Easy YA listen with an LGBTQ twist

Easy YA romance listen with an LQBTQ twist. A little predictable/cliche but everything in this genre is. Would recommend is the synopsis appeals to you.

Over used plot

Although the plot wasn’t bad... it was just too over used. The author used the basic, cliche plot and made it a bit gay (love that bit tho) but I feel like if the author had made it a liiiiitle bit different it would have been a rly good story. Overall good story but the plot was meh

This Book is So Stinky Cute

Finally! After so long I've found a YA book that isn't all full of teenage angst. Whenever I read a book full of angst all I can think is, now this is something to instill in our youth - emotional disarray and indecisiveness. (insert eye roll emoji here) In this book, however, their love is simple and hopeful. The way your first love should be. Also, the author did a wonderful job with showing Joey questioning their relationship's validity and depth without it coming across as insecure. And lastly, my favorite part, is this book shows the core of all relationships is the same. No matter the sexual orientation of the participants. I wish there had been a book like that when I was young.

Nice story

Cute story for the most part, nothing annoying or frustrating and not too many genre clichés. Likeable main characters but the antagonists were a bit like Disney villains. I wish it was longer, there is potential to have fleshed out more characters. I guess it's a good thing when you finish and want more.

High school love story with all the trimmings

This was a super cute high school love story.

Quirky loner girl gets made over (thanks mom) and popular girl has to find out who she is.
The only hitch is that this meeting happens at a kissing booth and popular girl (Olivia) can't get our heroine Joey out of her head. She's gone in a kiss.

Joey doesn't know why, but Olivia starts hanging around and wanting to get to know her, to spend time with her... this is just weird. But how Olivia goes about doing it is the sweetest swooniest way ever!!! I wish I'd had an Olivia when i was in high school.

There's some drama (of course) involving former friends and family and self doubt... it's just a great mix for the perfect high school coming of age, self discovery, falling in love-iest story.

Great job on the narration by Sharon Kunkel. I had a blast listening to her bring Joey's inner workings to life.

Entertaining

If you're looking for a simple short YA romance this could be for you. Not to worry about getting into a deep story just a nice easy listen.
