La segunda historia es protagonizada por un grupo de amigos en actualidad, que descubren que el misterio que creían resuelto, en realidad no ha hecho más que comenzar.

Pregunta: Estudió Derecho, un Máster, aprendió idiomas… para acabar de político y escritor.
Respuesta: Jajajaja, dicho así parece que he ido a menos, ¿verdad? En realidad no vivo de ninguna de las dos cosas. Ser concejal en mi pueblo, Alboraya, además de un orgullo, es vocacional, al igual que ser escritor.
P: ¿Después de tres títulos, llega el cuarto y lo que creemos es mentira?
R: Bueno, no en su totalidad, pero sí en una parte muy importante, casi diría que capital. Se descubre una parte esencial de la trama, que permanecía oculta para los lectores. El final es revelador e inesperado.
P: ¿Seguimos con la inquisición?
R: Sí. En mis dos primeras novelas el trasfondo histórico era la vida de los judíos en la aljama de Valencia de finales del siglo XIV, en las cuatro próximas entregas saltamos hasta el primer cuarto del siglo XVI, con la acción del tribunal del Santo Oficio de Valencia, que fue uno de los más activos de España. Pasan los siglos, pero la situación para el pueblo judío no mejora, de hecho, y ya era difícil, empeora aún más.
P: La trama actual, la referente al siglo XXI, ¿sigue igual?
R: Los protagonistas principales siguen siendo los mismos, pero las sorpresas no terminan y en este libro en especial. Iniciamos un camino nuevo e intrigante hacia un destino incierto, de hecho la próxima entrega se llama "La sonrisa incierta"
P: ¿Se trata de una novela histórica más?
R: No me atrevería a clasificarla de novela histórica. Es otra cosa. Se trata de una novela de misterio e intriga actual, basada en hechos históricos reales.
P: ¿A quién va dirigida?
R: A todos los lectores con ganas de entretenerse, desde los catorce años. Incluso tengo lectores de menor edad.
