Publisher's summary

Newly reinstated Captain Deborah Allen Riker (a.k.a. Admiral Dare) has been called many things over the years. Risk-averse is not one of them.

When she and her badly crippled starship found themselves lost in the middle of an ocean of uncharted stars, with the fate of the galaxy on the line, facing enemies from the past, present, and future.... She did what any Riker would do....

She attacked.

This is the second book in the military sci-fi series, Exodus Earth, from Amazon best-seller Andrew Beery. It's perfect for fans of Rick Partlow, Christopher G. Nuttall, and Mark Wayne McGinnis.

Fast pace action

I enjoyed this one better than the first. The action scenes were good. Finished it rather quickly.

Easy syfy to read

I liked this one since it included some time travel (though not true time travel, of course), more references to other science fictions, and a good storyline. This is good stuff. Of course, I'll read the following one as well because I'm curious to see where this one goes. I enjoyed reading it.

Continuing the Military SciFi Adventures

This the second of a military sci-fi where the main characters trade up their starship to a colony ship and everybody gets promoted; except they are pretty much the same (with little to no character growth) … and now we get a perfunctory romance/love triangle that seemed awkward and out of place. The basic plot has the newly acquired colony ship running away from the bad guys while trying to keep flying while fighting off internal saboteurs (I don’t know about anybody else, but for me it was hard to avoid a comparison with Battlestar Galactica here). The sarcastic humor is still fun, but does start to wear thin by the end as it is typically used to hide exposition and brief data dumps within the story. The world-building within the military trope was very well done and makes the whole series a solid example of the genre.

A Rarity In A Sequel

I could not wait to get my hands on the second book in this series. I was NOT disappointed. Rarely is a sequel better than the first book in the series. This one is and leaves me craving the next book. First series in a while that I rip through as fast as I can. Narrator does a great job. Each character has a very recognizable voice. Well done all around.

Good Characters, Entertaining Listen

Lost Ship is the second book in the Exodus Earth series. I was quickly drawn into the story by the lifelike characters and the detailed and plausible fictional world building. This story moved along at a good pace with ample action, plot twists and adventure. I can hardly wait to find out what happens next. I was provided a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving that unbiased review.
