Good starter bible

This isn't the most scripturally accurate work, but it's true enough to the spirit of the text to suffice for small children.

Beautifully read!

Cons:
1) Makes some doctrinally debatable choices - literally still debated by scholars, things like "ex nihilo" creation.

Also on the Trinitarian side. Not exactly a con as that is common to many Christian denominations, just a note for anyone who is from one of the others.

2) While the reading is very expressive, that means that sometimes he speaks so quietly that we have a hard time hearing it over the other noises around the house when we are listening to it without headphones.

3) The simplification of the stories means that women are even less present than usual.

Pros:
1) Beautifully read! Such a lovely voice and he uses such expressiveness.

2) While the simplification may be problematic at times, at other times I feel it really cuts to the heart of things and has moved me more than once.

3) My daughter loves listening to it so much she asks for it when we're getting ready in the morning and asks to have it playing when she goes to sleep at night. (Not always on the same day, but you get the idea.)

My 4 year old daughter loves listening to this version of the Bible. She asks to "listen to God" when she's falling asleep at night and many times when we're in the car, especially at night when it's dark. She says it helps her not feel scared. 💛 I like how it weaves stories along with explaining God's great love for my child and all God's children.

I sleep to it every night.
The bible is very hard to read and to confusing for kids to read so I think this is a great story for youth kids.
Also it's a great story to fall asleep too.. I sleep to it every night since my mom got It for me it's so relaxing.

Our kids love it!

The narration was fantastic for this audiobook. The kids love listening to this as they go to sleep each night. It's not too long or short, and we listen to it throughout the week. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful Narration!

Really well done, this book weaves in the gospel throughout. We have the book but listened to this on the commute to school. The narrator makes it come alive.

Listening to this brought it to life. My kids loved it and I loved it. I plan on listening to this once a year. The book itself is good but listening to it makes it become Amazing!!!!
