Publisher's summary

Modern-day bounty hunter Bethany Bennett helps her brother track two fugitives to a forest outside of Houston, Texas. But what should have been a routine apprehension of two bail skippers spirals out of control and ends in violence. After Beth and her brother are both seriously injured, a mysterious figure suddenly looms over her. And, when the smoke clears, Beth finds herself not only in another place, but in another time.

As Lord Robert, Earl of Fosterly, attempts to identify and track down the nameless enemy who has been plaguing his lands and people with violence, the most peculiar woman stumbles into his path. Small, vulnerable, yet possessed of a bold, fiery spirit and wicked sense of humor, she persists in dubbing Robert and his men members of something called a medieval reenactment group - until she sees his castle and labels herself mad. It seems bounty hunter Bethany Bennett has come to him from the future, bringing with her laughter and chaos, swiftly winning the hearts of his people and inspiring within him a love he thought he would never experience again. But when Robert discovers a way for her to return to her time, will the love they share be enough to keep them together?

Surprisingly Fantastic

Would you consider the audio edition of Rendezvous with Yesterday to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the printed version

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rendezvous with Yesterday?

Robert and Beth's chemistry was wonderful. It didn't feel forced, and didn't dance around for very long. It was a progressive build-up that felt natural.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

The way she switched between Robert's and Beth's accents was smooth and only showed when the characters spoke. The rest of the time, there was not accent, so you didn't feel like she was favoring one character's thoughts over the other.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

It is definitely a roman novel with some action packed moments. For someone who wants the romance but doesn't want it the only plot, this book was wonderful.

A love story with a TWIST!

I love Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians series and Gifted Ones series. In fact I have loved everything she has written and this book is no different.

The story starts with Bethany and her brother tracking fugitives near Houston, Texas. Living close to the areas she mentions made this book extra special for me. I felt as if I could go to those places and find Bethany there.

A modern day Bethany in Medieval England was frightening, shocking and often Hysterical! Lord Robert from the first book in this series is as chivalrous here as he was before. There is an almost instant attraction between Bethany and Robert, this is a romance of course.

The love grows between the two and you want them to overcome any and all obstacles. This is one of Dianne Duvall's strengths as a writer. You can see the all the reasons they should not or could not be together, that the characters see. But she has us cheering for love to conquer all.

Kirsten Potter does an awesome job of narrating as she has with both series.

Not really a spoiler, just a warning -
Do not drink anything, handle sharp objects, or be speeding down the highway when Robert helps Bethany bath in the lake.
I laughed hysterically at Robert's reactions to Bethany's 1) Bra, 2) Thong, 3) Toenail Polish, and 4) Shaved Legs... PRICELESS!!!

Good story however

It seemed a little short on the who is terrorizing Roberts people aspect of the story. I mean you would hope for something more to today than what was given. It answered a lot of questions about Marcus and Bethany from the immortal guardian series.

From start to finish I enjoyed this book

This was for me a very touching romance. From the start, the characters interactions were engaging and the conclusion was fulfilling. The narration really sells the story and the characters bantering. Truly this book 1 and 2 are now part of my permanent library.

An amazing adventure

I've always loved anything medieval. Add in time Travel, sexy brave long haired knights, a saucy modern day gal and plenty of tasteful and still erotic lovings, and it becomes even better. I loved all of this story and if anyone can hang up their "But that could never happen" mindsets and just dive in and enjoy the tale for the fun hotness it is, they'll love it also.

Most all of us would no doubt love to be in the heroines shoes and be able to gobsmack tough brave medieval knights with a mobile phone and pictures and open their minds to a modern way of living, thinking, existing, etc.

Can't wait to read more of the authors books.
