Publisher's summary

Half human and half Wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the Wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful---and passionate---of the Elder Races.

As the most feared and respected of the Wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they've ignited in one another.

Critic reviews

"This is an outstanding blend of romantic suspense and urban fantasy with great storytelling and world building, extremely sensuous scenes that move the story arc along, and characters [listeners] will be reluctant to leave." ( Booklist)

Good Fun

I read a lot of paranormal fiction, and was recently thinking that I'd really like for the heroine to not be so awfully tough and gritty. The female heroine in this book was, surprisingly and refreshingly, a real girl. It's not that she wasn't brave when she needed to be. She fought when it was necessary. She was girly enough though to paint her toenails, love good shoes, and be squeamish about the whole idea of killing. Most women aren't Xena Warrior Princess types, and thank goodness, neither was Pia. I found this refreshing in a genre chock full of fearless weapon toting warrior women.

The relationship between Pia and Dragos was well written, as was the book as a whole. The narrator did an excellent job. All in all a great listen.

Dragons! Yes, hot dragons!

Pia Giovanni is blackmailed into stealing a coin from a very powerful Dragon. He gets supremely pissed off and goes after her. The funny adventure, romance and fantasy world that develops in this book is really interesting and hot! The narrator does a good job with this book. Her voice is pleasant and full of emotions...I loved the details of the Otherlands. This is very different from all the other paranormal romance book I've listened to. I really enjoyed e whole book and already got the second one in the series.

Good book, but the plot has been used, still liked

Would you consider the audio edition of Dragon Bound to be better than the print version?

I prefer the print version, there is nothing wrong with the narrator, but she sounds like the reader of every young adult series ever made, which I avoid like the black death

What other book might you compare Dragon Bound to and why?

I do not know who had the first book, but this concept is ALMOST exactly Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, down to the 7. It did not ruin the book for me though since I like the concept as a whole.

What three words best describe Sophie Eastlake’s performance?

sounds too young, but no flaws in performance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, got it read in one night

Great new series

It took me a few minutes to get into this book, but once I did, I could not put it down. Full of humour and narrator did story justice. A fantastic start to a great new series I hope.

wonderful!

At first I wasn't wild about the narrator because I'd heard her read some books with teenagers and kept picturing them. However, somewhere about chapter 5, I didn't even notice that any longer. Wonderful story, great character development, plenty of action, humor, worry, and hotness. 10 out of 10 and ready for the next book!

Not a Romance Reader but....

I am not usually into any kind of romance novel and came to this series via the Urban-Fantasy route. With that said, I love the world that Harrison has created, it is vibrant and enjoyable. I really enjoyed the story which can stand on it's own without the steamy stuff. I plan to get the rest of the series and hope they are as good as this one.

GREAT ROMANCE STORY!

Would you consider the audio edition of Dragon Bound to be better than the print version?

Yes, the audio edition is WAY better than the print version. Listening to the narrator's version of the books keeps you on edge and makes you want to listen further.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when Pia finds out what she transforms in to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Hot Dragon Chase

Any additional comments?
