Publisher's summary

Symphony of Light and Winter, Book #1

A paranormal series from 2016 Audie Award Winners - Renea Mason, Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard.

Love never dies, but sometimes it plays dead.

For Linden Hill, life was predictable - go to work, an occasional drink with friends, and repeat - until one unexpected night when she finds herself face-to-face with her past - all six-foot-five-inches of sex-god perfection she once knew as Cyril. The problem? He died. Or so she thought.

But Linden's long-lost love isn't welcoming her with open arms. Fueled by suspicion and doubt, their turbulent re-acquaintance drives Cyril to desperate acts. The chance at renewing their love is jeopardized, pulling Linden into his war with supernatural rivals hell-bent on his destruction.

Defeating the enemy seems easy compared to surviving each other. With hunger threatening to consume them, and love begging to endure, can Linden learn to accept who she must become to save them both?

"Sexy, fun and so creative it makes my head spin! I'd read the damn phone book if Renea Mason wrote it." - Bestselling author Robyn Peterman

Symphony of Light and Winter had suspense, action, romance, an abundance of steam, and lots of attitude. It will grab your attention right away and keep it until the end. There will be no setting this one aside. Not a chance!" – (Crazy for Books)

"Renea Mason's book has everything you could want--a unique world, ...a gripping plot, and seamless writing..." - (Book Bliss)

Well done

I am so glad this book is finally in audio. The narration team did a phenomenal job with voicing the characters. DeWard did a spot-on Linden, and Levine moved easily from the snotty Overton to the gruff and perpetually angry Cyril. Symphony was the first book I ever read by this author, and I've read all of her books, since. The inclusion of Imposter's Kiss was a nice addition. Great job to all involved in this project. You nailed it!

At first can't follow but found it entertaining

Moving from her other books. Using these same narrators at first I was disappointed, the female voice sounded the same and the male voice resembles the other characters but then upon more patience found it to be more enlightening. Though Erin dewards voice grates on my ears at times following the storey made it quite good.

The writing was good but too many familiar words and expressions used from one book To the next. Less over narration like in " surviving Doctor Vincent". I'm interested in read"listening " the imposters kiss"

In The Blood

Would you listen to Symphony of Light and Winter again? Why?

Yes! It was a very complex story and I believe when I listen again I will find details that I missed or at least gain a deeper understanding of this complex world filled with unique and diverse characters. It was a very enjoyable listen :)

What did you like best about this story?

I like the way it is true to the Old Gods and their foibles as well as being completely unique and original. It was enthralling and mesmerizing. I didn't realize it was over until it told me it was. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Have you listened to any of Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first experience with Michael Levine and Erin deWard ’s performance and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Michael is very good at accents and that lent another layer to his characters. Erin has a very good grasp at conveying myriad emotions. Overall I don't think any other pair of narrators could have pulled this off as well. I hope they continue to work together until the end of the series :)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! But it was impossible as the book is so long. I definitely did not want to put it down but sleep must come sometime :)

Any additional comments?

This series must be listened to (or read) in order. The first book is Imposter's Kiss found at Chapter 22 in the Audible Audio Edition. This is the second book. I can't wait to listen to Between The Waters!

Thinking Cyril (the love of her life) dead (since he died in her arms) or a figment of her imagination (as Michael told her) Linden moved on with her life. She recovered from her coma under Michael's care. Eventually he talked her into marrying him... With disastrous results. She woke up in bed with him dead next to her (they had consummated their marriage) the next morning. She vowed never to have sex or love again. Everything changes th e night of the Symphony Fund Raiser when her dead love walks into the room. Can he truly be alive? How? What is he? Why doesn't he remember her? Will being with him kill him again? Or is he exempt?

Cyril has no idea how the gorgeous creature in front of him gained his blood! He has no memory of her whatsoever! She draws him to her like no other. It makes no sense! Is she a trap carefully laid for him by his many enemies? Is she a cruel joke played upon him by the Gods? His Goddess? How can she be immune to his Curse? Could she possibly be his Light?

***This series is suitable for adult listeners (or readers) who enjoy historical to modern supernatural romances with sarcastic humor and steamy sex scenes filled with intrigue and mystery :)

Another great job!

Having heard Eric DeWard and Noah Michael Levine read for Renea Mason before, I knew the treat I was in for. Now, being a die hard fan of the narrators and the writer, I'm eager to read and listen to anything they produce! This story is original, the writing great, and the voices that bring it all to life--beyond hot! Thanks for another wonderful fantasy!

A Paranormal Romance

What made the experience of listening to Symphony of Light and Winter the most enjoyable?

This is a paranormal romance with some great and interesting characters. Sexy Cyril makes most women drop their panties, and the feisty heroine, Linden who is all cool, collected and is shocked when Cyril comes back into her life..after she watches him die a few years earlier.
Cyril made me smile, groan and even laugh. He was such a bad-ass at first but he was also a wonderful protector and Linden couldn't help but feel confused and conflicted whenever she was around him.

OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING

I found this book by chance in the Romance package and decided to give it a go.

I'd never listened/read any books by Renea Mason before and the title sounded beautiful and captured my attention. Then, add on to the fact that it's a paranormal book and I had to get it.

Listening to this audiobook was like nothing I've ever listened to before. I have never encountered two narrators who bring the book to life like Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard do. These two amazing people actually acted out the entire book from start to finish. It read more like a script instead of a book and I loved every single minute of it. Noah Michael Levine has the best voice and I loved how he portrayed Cyril.

The characters and plot twists are beyond amazing. Ms Mason DEFINITELY knows how to write a book that you cannot put down. Linden's character is sassy and fierce and I loved reading her adventures through her discovery of the supernatural. Cyril and Overton and the rest of the cast really brought this book to the next level. Cyril is a hero who I will not forget anytime soon.

After finishing the conclusion this morning I immediately went and got the next installment. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Afreakinmazing!

What an amazing book!!!! Will keep you on the edge of your seat and very unwilling to put it down as there is absolutely no good place to hit pause! The whole time I was trying to figure out what type of PNR this was and I was never able to figure it out until the book spelled it out for me. I loved all of the main characters and the slow burn romance. It does end in a cliffhanger which makes me so happy because 10 hours of listening is just not enough!

The narrators were unlike any I’ve listened to! They read this book as if it was a play. Their performance literally made a movie in my head! I was completely transported because of their narration. Oh my and the sex scenes man did they make that seem so realistic. Jotting them down just so I can listen to books they’ve narrated (preferably together)
