Publisher's summary

When World War 3 erupts on American soil, it is up to some less than likely heroes to band together and stand tall against any and all comers as a once proud nation is brought to her knees.

Cowardly terrorist attacks and indifferent global communities have isolated America as she spirals into a desperate bid for survival. Follow Darlene Bobich and her group on the West Coast along with Michael Talbot on the East Coast as they do everything in their power to thwart those who would take away everything that they and all of us are.

Getting Some Classic Tufo and THE Best Narration

Written with humor and with attention to the detail that Tufo fans admire and love, this first installment leaves me typically yelling at my device for more! B.T., Talbot, Tracy, and a cast of new characters welcome you to a world of conflict, survival, and uncertainty. Tufo and Rosamilla capture perfectly the fundamental question that some of humanity wrestles with on a daily basis: how to decide to act based not on what we can do but rather what we should do. Excellent read.

loved it, BUT....

loved the story. Great reading! But hated the fact that it got to the end, and there is no end. Is this part of a series or what?

Scary but true as if we are close

Five star book as what if the great United States were attack, well even today with the threats from our well known enemies we might be surprised but how would you handled the attack? Are you ready? I am as one I never live in a large city. I like Mark books as he has allowed truth how it might be with a twist on how many of you would act. No more taking care of your neighbors they will be your enemy when food runs low. Yes your government will be no where around.

i loved it but i didnt like the abrupt ending. i h

i hope there's another book to be written otherwise there's no closure. i will always read about Michael I'm in love with this character if only he were a real man. Sean Ranette has to narrate him otherwise it wont be believable to me . thanks guys for some fun and interesting pass time.

This could happen here.

What did you love best about United States of Apocalypse?

How the author worked in two stories at the same time. He did this seamlessly.

What other book might you compare United States of Apocalypse to and why?

The JL Bourne series, Day by Day Armageddon. Both books and series deal with extinctction type events.

What does Sean Runnette and Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They maintain a great pace and really help hold the listener's attention.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the main characters in the book realize what's happening and come of age.

Any additional comments?

Good pacing, an intriguing story. The frightening thing is something like what was described in the book could really happen.
