Publisher's summary

I’m supposed to be the Alpha's mate. Screw that.

Since I was born, I was destined to be one thing—the Alpha’s Mate. It should be every girl’s dream. Not mine, though. He’s too dark and damaged, and I’ve got a secret he can never know: I’m not a true wolf.

Instead of waiting for him to figure out I’m an abomination, I left on my fifteenth birthday. But I didn’t go far. No way in hell would I let him drive me from the town I love.

Ten years later, I’m still hiding in plain sight. When I occasionally see him on the street—deadly, sexy, powerful--I just walk by. Keep my head down.

Until that night. Wrong place, wrong time, and suddenly I’m accused of murdering someone from my old pack. And he’s there. Blaming me. I’ve got one chance to prove my innocence and find the real killer, or I'm dead by shifter law.

Fortunately, the Alpha doesn't recognize me because I'm no longer the same ugly duckling. He senses I'm special though, and he won’t stop until he figures out the truth. But when he does, I’ll be in danger from more than just the murderer.

The Wolf Queen complete set contains all five books in the series. It's full of non-stop action, adventure, magic, and romance. Titles include Darkest Moon, Wild Hunt, Pack of Lies, Rising Moon, and Wolf Queen.

To drawn out

This series could have ended in the 2nd book. Way too drawn out. I love shifter novels but this one could not keep my attention. I even walked away for a few days and still lost interest too quickly

Great storyline without being soft porn! Love it!

It has the subtleties of romance that kept it romantic without going overboard. Great series!

It’s alright

The series is alright although the incredibly slow build up leads to a lackluster climax the characters are fun and their motivations make sense, but I felt the plot was rather lackluster. I had difficulty adjusting to the narrator as well although I got over it within the first hour

Good Story

This was a good series. I really enjoyed it. Although by book 4 it was getting a little repetitive but i'm glad i stuck through it. I love this writer. She is very talented. It is worth the credit for sure. Thank you ♡

I love you but we must be annoying and try to ignore it

Darkest moon - This is a faced paced book. From the get go you are in the drama, starting with the mysterious death of a werewolf and our MFC being the main suspect. From there it is potions, secrets, tracking collars, magic, bonds that are fought against, different magic wielding characters and history that is slowly revealed. The twist at the end is kind of obvious. The book goes from the MMCs point of view to the point of view from the MFC. There is some world building but mostly it's just a rush to the end, with little to no down time for the main characters to really build or grow.

Wild Hunt - And the fast paced story continues. Eve and Lochlan work to find out who the mysterious person after eve is. Lochlan's crazy mate instincts push him to protect and feed and care for Eve, to her annoyance. Eve becomes even more different and struggles with not being able to shift and run under the moonlight. Again, there isn't much down time, it's one fire after another, including Lachlan's brother. Lachlan works with Eve and the Shadow Guild to try and find and take down the mysterious villain. By the end, they have a title but not much more to go by and a bond that can't be ignored, though they will continue to try and a new problem, a power no one seems to know anything about, except maybe the one person they want dead.

This book again feels rushed and by the end, I was rolling my eyes at Eve and Lachlan for continuing to fight the bond. With everything we learn about these two, it not only is tedious but seems to be them creating more problems. Two is usually better than one and if fate has declared you to be together, then maybe try that, as trying to go against fate doesn't seem to be working out very well. There is the smallest bit of spice in this one and a few laughs but mostly it's just them running around trying to get to the end of their story as quick as possible, so they can go move on.

Pack of Lies - More of the same in this book, one thing after another, with a little spice and more of Eve and Lachlan wanting each other but trying to ignore the pull of their mate bond.

They work together to try and find Lachlan's brother, to protect the magic world from being exposed to humans by the cursed werewolf, and to hopefully save him from the curse. They also are on the hunt, for information about the what Eve is and her new magic and stones, stones that are needed to save Eve from certain death. While Lachlan tries to keep the curse at bay. Two fated mates, trying to save the other, before evil wins.

Rising Moon - More of the same but WORSE. How could it possibly be worse you ask? Lachlan goes and gets cursed but not the dark curse, oh no, he is cursed to forget Eve. He remembers everything but not her, there's a shadow of (as he says) a manikin in place of Eve. So we get to watch him fall for her all over again, the sappy poetic thoughts he catches himself thinking, the constant need to feed her, etc. On the bright side, he can't feel the pull of his mate, so it's them both fighting their attraction but not in the same way, well not for him. All while trying to figure out how to save the world from the Maker. Who has started handing out dark curses like crazy cat ladies hand out candy on Halloween. Oh and they want to not just save everyone but also kill the maker. There's, again a little spice but honestly not enough considering they are supposed to be fated mates. Also, what is wrong with Hades that he can't keep his demons in line? Come on man get your act together already!

Wolf Queen - Our duo is at it again, trying to kill the Maker. Except this time, the only one cursed, is Eve. She fights against the curse while trying to follow clues to figure out how to ascend. Between visions, dreams, returned memories and her usual grit she and Lochlan work to take out the Maker and fight against their attraction to one another. There is some spice in this book also. However, it is once again mostly them running around fighting demons and the Maker on their journey, again Hades, WHY can't you control your demons. For the love of all the is chocolate, get it together man. There are some stupid moments, you know where Lachlan or Eve do something stupid but mostly Lachlan taking care of Eve, Eve listening and trying to battle the curse that keeps making her want to rip his throat out. Honestly if you made it this far, you need to finish and see how Eve dies and things end (not a spoiler as it was prophecide in basically every book). We knew it was coming.
