Publisher's summary

It was supposed to be a fresh start. A completely blank slate in a place where no one knew about the tragedy that ripped her family apart six months ago. A tragedy Rowan can't help but blame herself for.

Now the only thing she wants is to blend in. To escape the house that has become more like a prison. Her new school is her only hope. Somewhere she can pretend she's just like everyone else.

Only Rowan doesn't realize how unique she is. Holden is the first to recognize it, but he's not the last.

Rowan can't explain the draw she feels to the guys who have found their way into her life. The way something seems to spark the first moment she touches each of them. How it almost hurts to walk away from them at the end of each day.

Things are changing, from the ripple of power humming just below her skin to this new family she's finding herself a part of. But not all of the changes are good.

Someone doesn't like the power Rowan is stepping into or the bonds she's forming with the guys who have gifts as rare and strong as her own. And when the truth is revealed, it has the power to burn everything in its wake . . .

LOVE

I was entranced from page one. The storyline is great, the characters are real and have depth, and the emotion is a rollercoaster ride. I am in love with this series. A fabulous start and Aletha George is incredible and brings the story to life.

Books 1 & 2 without spoilers

The first too books move the story along at a pretty good pace, there does seem too be almost too much going on at times with the MC's adoptive family and her "new life"

The Mean girl and Bullying is a bit basic and doesnt add anything to the story most of the time. In the 2nd book the plot gets very weak with the Mean girl orchestrating an insident that leads to a crooked cop and some abductors hired by the adoptive father....it doesnt make any sense and comes off as a lazy way to create an event to show a new power she has....but it left me wondering how the dad, the mean girl, the cop, the principal....in what world.

Lastly as much as i was enjoying the book the author commits the worst sin i have been seeing more and more latly and that is last minute Mary Sue villain plot twist. Honestly clif hangers only work if its lead up to and suspensful.....instead in the last 3 minutes of the story the MC turns completly stupid, and BAM *Spoiler*.,......she is drugged by her worst enemy and smuggled past a million guards with no issue Dun Dun DUnnnn

Cliffhanger

It was a very good story with character driven plot but it was a cliffhanger at the end. I really want the full story so I guess on to the next installment.

Mysterious with some damsel in distress goodness

Loved this! I’m off to listen to the next one immediately. I was hooked. The story kept me listening all day.

Suspenseful and intriguing. Tessa is a new auto buy/listen for me.

On Edge

This book kept me on edge. I also had the actual book on kindle downloaded. The narration in the kindle app helped me a lot. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t sink to Audible so I had to play it separately here. The only issue I had with the audible is that the chapters didn’t match with the kindle book itself for example it would say Chapter 47 when it was actually Chapter 46 that was all. I highly recommend this book.
