Loyal to the end.

What a hero. With tears in my eyes I say good bye and bless you Riley. I have enjoyed your story so very much. Thanks to you I can look forward to reading about the continued journeys of your friends and their new family. Mark Tufo it was was a sad, happy ending. I wish that it had not been so but life in a zombie apocalypse is like some times. I do so very much love each and every character in this series of books. My heart bleeds every time on of them is lost to the greater good of protecting their family of friends. But then again, truly great stories are supposed to make us feel that way. Riley i will miss your indomitable personality but I know will hear your bark as I turn the pages of future stories. Say hello to George for me please Riley. Long may your food bowl be full.

Another terrific Tufo finish. Worth the credit.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Zombie Tale (Part 4) to be better than the print version?

I have not read the book only listened, but I can tell you its an amazing story. It is well written and is tied into other Tufo stories brilliantly. Personally I just love the audios more.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Riley of course. She is what every four legged furbaby stands for. Loyalty, unconditional love, protection, guidance and strength. She is truly the symbolism of a true best friend not just a dog.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Love love love Runnette.. A Tufo story + Sean Runnette = A work of art... I cant imagine a Tufo story narrated by anyone else. He makes this book complete and narrates the story perfectly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!! This is the last book in this series. These books are only a few hours long but I craved more. Even if it was 10 hours I know I would not stop listening until it was done. Lol

Any additional comments?

At first I was pretty reluctant to start this series. I mean a zombie tale told through the eyes of 2 dogs a cat a baby and a teen age girl...... But once again Mark Tufo's imagination and Passion for zkmbies as well as dogs & maybe for the cat too wiped away any doubts. He created not just a story but a work of art. The depth of his characters for this series blows me away. I mean he had to create personalities for 2 dogs and a cat and make them believable. He did that and more. As a true animal lover I found myself saying yup my cat would sooo say that, or man I bet thats really what my dog is thinking. Amazing job, Amazing series & an Amazing endjng.

the animal point of view

love how you tie this short series into your fallout series. Also I love Shaun the reader of your books he adds so much and really brings your books to life. I feel like I'm in the story and I can picture everything happening. Also love the United States of Apocalypse hope you come out with another book to finish that series cuz you left that one open and also love how you use a pot of the same characters just makes it that much better.

Tufo masterfully weaves a story

Riley, Ben-Ben, Patches, Jess and the baby continue their trek to Colorado to find Justin Talbot.  Jess and her menagerie are still on the run dodging the crack addict Icely and his goons.  They finally and safely make it to Turtle Run and find the abandoned home of the Talbot family.

Mark Tufo reveals what happened to a favorite character from the Fallout Series and the impact Alec has on Jess.  Guiding her to Maine, we are told of the final resting place of Alec.  Not everyone survives a zombie apocalypse and even the most beloved of characters can and do die.

Tufo masterfully weaves a story around a strong plot and several strong characters.  Tufo’s ability to coax his readers into the story, drawing them in is done skillfully.  He is definitely talented at leaving his listeners breathless and with a strong emotional upheaval crying for his blood.  Riley: Book 4 is full of twists and turns that will leave you asking, “what? … WHAT?”

I enjoy listening to Tufo’s Riley series.  Hearing it from a dog’s perspective is interesting and presents a new viewpoint.  If you are a dog lover or a zombie enthusiast this is a series you won’t want to miss.  Tufo has grown as a writer and continues to entertain with his wit and mastery of sarcasm.

Sean Runnette does an excellent job and has become the voice of the “Talbot World.”  He adds personality to the characters through his ability to move the wit and sarcasm from paper to audio with just the right tone and inflection.

There were no issues with production.

A Dog Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Good story line. Written in the first person of the view of Riley, a tenacious pitty who dosen;t mind chomping on the bad guys to protect her human pack.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Zombie Tale (Part 4)?

The teamwork between snotty kitty, yappy dog and Riley in making her human pack leader, Jesse, understand that they are there for her.

Any additional comments?

Although the books are on the short side, the humour and action are continuous. Leaving you to want to know more and what happens next.
