About this listen

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they've ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated - vampires from humans - they realize that the changes definitely aren't for the better. It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they've never had: Hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation - even for the vampires themselves - the truth is far more sinister and deadly. Now, Claire, Shane, and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end.

Love the book

The storyline and the book was very good. I absolutely love the Ceres however wish they would have stayed with the original narrator from the beginning.

Great way to end the series!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Daylighters the most enjoyable?

Thank you Rachel Caine for ending the series with a great story!!!! I will not spoil it for those of you reading this review but if you have read, or listened to all the books, this one does NOT disappoint!!!

Which character – as performed by Angela Dawe – was your favorite?

Angela Dawe is an awesome narrator and did a great job on the entire series. I wish it would not end but you never know!!!!

Great series of books

I found this series very difficult to put down. In this book, Claire has returned to Morgansville to find the Daylighters “freeing” the town. He kills many while doing it. Claire has to find a way to save them from hood “cure”.

The book has a few bad words and some intimacy between the young heroes. If I remember right, it wasn’t as bad in this book as the others.

Sad to see it end

As a huge fan of this series, I'm super sad to see it end - but it was defintely time - and Rachel did it perfectly. She closed it out in a way that each character had an end without it feeling like The End. (If that makes sense) She didn't have to go through the list of characters and give all the details of their future, you are just content with how it ends and aren't curious as to how so and so turns out.
As a whole, the story was good - plenty of action, drama, and sarcasm as always.
There were some parts that didn't quite keep my interest and I'd find myself spacing out and thinking of other things while still holding the book. The whole point of reading is to escape from the world and our problems for a little while. Despite the few mind wandering moments I did enjoy the book; it seems the story has come full circle.
In the beginning, the humans are terrified of the vampires and subsequently are their prisoners; by book #15, Daylighters, the vampires are now terrified of the humans and are imprisoned with shock collars. At least in the beginning. It seems everyone's roles have reversed at some point or another throughout the series, but in the end they are all trying to live peacefully... or as peacefully as humans and vampires can.
I mean, they are predator and prey after all.

Need more morganville

Loved this series. Wound up buying all the audio books.
The performances in each book were great. All the character.....especially Mernan were great. (Love Mernan).
Just sad that there aren’t more adventures of Morganville Vampires.
Could do without all the sex parts though. I get that they are young people and in love. But don’t need every intimate detail. Gets old after awhile. I’m wanting to hear the adventures not the sex life. Lol
Each character is delightfully quirky in their own right and each villain....well you really get to disliking them and rooting for the heros
Just so sad this is the last book.......or is it?

Bring Back Cynthia Holloway!

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Cynthia Holloway read this series so much better. Love the books but not the current narrator!

Daylighters: The Morganville Vampires Book 15

Daylighters: The Morganville Vampires Book 15 This is final book of The Morganville Vampires series and it was as much fun as the first. Every book has been an adventure and so much fun… I enjoyed each and everyone of the books, and was so excited that I was able to listen to the audible book so I do not miss a minute of this spectacular series!!! I am very sad to see the series end -- Action and emotion rolled into one. I laughed, I cried I cheered for the characters. I will reread read the series again and listen to the audible books I purchased. Thanks 😊 so much Rachel for these characters and their stories. I hope that the tv series continues after the 1st one, would love to see it on tv… I definitely recommend listening 👂 and reading this series 📚…..

Daylighters, Book #15: Welcome Home?

Claire, Shane, Eve, & Michael return home to Morganville only to find that it's completely changed. The humans are in charge now. The vampires are imprisoned, waiting for a cure that has a high death rate associated with it.

The foundation known as the Daylighters is trying to wipe out all vampires by either changing them back to human or killing them in the process.

Can anything good come from all this hatred and division?

A worthwhile end to the series

Any additional comments?

The series isn't perfect and sometimes the perspective focusing on Claire demands actions that seem odd just so that she can witness events.

Claire keeps on being awesome.

I have a sneaky affection for Oliver and I quite liked the way he was handled here.
