Publisher's summary

The sea dragons are returning, and Joron Twiner's dreams of freedom lie shattered. His Shipwife is gone, and all he has left is revenge.

Leading the black fleet from the deck of Tide Child, Joron takes every opportunity to strike at his enemies, but he knows his time is limited. His fleet is shrinking, and the Keyshan's Rot is running through his body. He runs from a prophecy that says he and the avian sorcerer, the Windseer, will end the entire world.

But the sea dragons have begun to return, and if you can have one miracle, who is to say that there cannot be another?

So amazing!

This whole series is amazing, but I think this last book was my favorite. The ending was just perfect. The characters were Interesting as ever. Some great twists. Why isn’t this series more popular? I love it.

A thrilling trilogy

A solid ending to a thrilling trilogy. I loved the all the characters, the pacing of the story, and the originality of the world. The journey was brutal and hard but that’s what you can expect on a black ship, because you are already dead.

pretty alright conclusion

yea, I know the endings are the hardest to pull off, but I dunno... this one seemed like there coulda been a bit more. after all the build up of the last two books I was hoping for something that would blow my socks off. still work listening to if you've invested in the previous two

Fantastic

It’s definitely worth the the listen, although I do wish there was a little more to the ending with the characters that survived. Otherwise I still loved it!

Superb and Unique yet Familiar World; Fantastic Narration

I am a sci-fi and fantasy lover and I’m very picky about plot and narration. I won’t listen to a book unless it has an absolutely great reader and this one does. This book is reminiscent of Robin Hobb’s Liveship Trader series in subtle ways but is so different in world building, so emotionally real in its relationships between characters, and so beautifully read that it was really a unique experience and a privilege to enjoy this series and every one if its three books.
