Publisher's summary

The Book of Mormon Storybook for Little Saints is a collection of 50 Book of Mormon stories, adapted for children and parents. We focus on telling the story so that the characters' humanity and the core doctrinal principles they depended on shine forth: primarily, God so loved the world. While our book is primarily intended for young children, we have crafted the stories with the idea that it ought to be meaningful and inspiring for children as well as their parents. We want to help make the Book of Mormon a gathering place for family members of all ages.

For anyone trying to tell Book of Mormon stories to children, altering the text is unavoidable. A story teller must often decide between focusing on specific details or communicating the essence. With that in mind, the primary goal of this book is not to teach children a summary of events. Instead, we have focused on the artful re-telling of the stories themselves. And each story is driven by testimony—our testimony—which we have condensed into this single sentence: These are stories about a real God who loves real people. We hope that by connecting to scripture more tenderly ourselves, and trying to show the humanity of its population gently, but honestly, our boy will begin to see and learn the goodness and grace of all the world around him. And that, perhaps, we may help others to see it too.

Marvelous

My children and I enjoyed every minute of this book. It was spiritual, well-read, and well-written in short chapters. My thanks to the authors and narrator.

Book of Mormon for little saints

Can’t say enough good about this book. It’s clearly geared towards kids but has insights that have never occurred to me and my 40 years of study. I’m so grateful I found it.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL

It's been hard for me to take on scripture study with my family these last few years. It has felt messy and overwhelming. But, I also want my children to know The Book of Mormon. This came just at the time I was desperate for it. Its devoted focus to the humanity of the people in the stories and to a God that loved His children(who wanted to be good), even heals me. I can skip over my messy and overwhelm(for now), and turn this on. My children love it.THANK YOU GUYS

A refreshing listen

Tired of boring scripture reading? This storybook breaks down into 50 short chapters you can listen to in the car on the way to school or work. Such a refreshing take on the same, old stories. More relatable and understandable. Love the “you are good” message throughout. For striving, imperfect people who are good and loved. A breath of fresh air for kids and adults alike. A great accompaniment to the beautifully bound and illustrated books themselves.

A beautiful way to get to know the people of the Book of Mormon

I was skeptical at first. How can you share the rich text of the Book of Mormon in ways that even a toddler can understand? But the Sabey’s have done that. The retelling of these stories is simple enough for children to understand and deep enough for adults to enjoy. I know other reviews have already said that this book brought them to tears, but it’s true. Getting to know the character of these people makes me not feel so alone in my own human nature and rebellious and proud state. Thank you for this wonderful adaptation.
