Absolutely Fantastic
I loved everything about this book! The narration was perfection and I loved seeing both sides of the story and getting to know each character. This was definitely worth the wait.

Absolutely a page turner
This book was so well written and so incredibly fleshed out. The narration was immersive and the descriptions made you feel as if you were in the bayou right next to the characters. Amazing job Alaina!

Alaina well done!
I did really like this book. It was a good first book from Alaina.I have issue with one thing. The time line did not make any sense to me. Wren meets Jeremy when she is second year med student. What happened to her was 7 years earlier. How can that be? 4 years of med school, then 4 years residency, she was 2 years in plus the 4 years she would do that is already 6 years. How did she become this experienced doctor doing Autopsies i just one year? Also the lead detective has all this experience and Wren talked about the detectives father during the original investigation again only 7 years earlier. How long had this detective been on the job? It just did not add up for me. I think it should have been more like 20 years earlier. That would have made it more believable. Also I wish she had went deeper into the characters lives and past so we could know them better
Over all I liked it, she did a great job for first time writing.

I have listened to every episode on Alaina's podcast Morbid and she did not dissapoint with her first book! It was thrilling and well written to perfection! I can not wait to read more from her!

I’ve been listening to morbid for years and was so excited for her book. The story was incredible, the details reminded me of some of my favorite books on here Iike Where the Crawdad Sings. Definitely recommended!!!
