Publisher's summary

In a world that will not tolerate the mention of sin, and in churches where it has been defined only in generic, sociological terms, one could make a good case could that repentance is one of the least used words in the English language today. Repentance is essential to true Christianity - Jesus Christ himself said that if we do not repent, we will perish - and there are few better guides that have existed in this or any other area of spiritual experience than Thomas Watson. He was well versed in both scripture and the human heart and wrote with a simplicity and directness that keeps his work fresh and powerful for the 21st century.

Awesome

What books written over 300 years from now will be read, much less listened to?! I was blessed from beginning to end. This great man of God knew true repentance. Highly recommended to those who are honestly looking to repent. Others, looking for a watered down don't offend me book better take cover. To God be the glory.

Wisdom from another time!

While this is the work of another era, it could not be more timely. The nature of sin does not change and neither does the heart of man. Great work!

Solid Biblically Backed Doctrine

A sound understanding of repentance is crucial to becoming a God fearing, Bible believing Christian. Definitely recommend a listen, or read, if you so prefer.

If you've read this work and are so inclined, please let's join in prayer that those who read it will find true, humble and reverent repentance in their heart and come to a deeper understanding of God's Love and Grace toward us created and sinful humans, in His image, and our need for that Grace found ultimately in Christ's payment for our sins. Let those who's eyes are opened weep in sorrow for their sins and unimaginable suffering Christ endured as He took on the full weight of all of mankind's trespasses against God, especially their own. Then, let them sing and dance with joy, even if only in their heart that they have come to accept this Grace and earnestly repent, without any pride or excuses and allow the Father, Christ, and the Holy Spirit to dwell in them for the rest of their days and that they produce good fruits as a result, always with humility and love and patience toward others. Father, Almighty God and Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Sea and all that is in them, we lift these souls up to You and ask that you reveal your Truth to them and work mightily in their lives toward your purposes. Amen.
