Don’t be so quick to judge

The only reason I give the story a 3 star rating is because I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book. Aside from that the story is still really good. Things escalate and set up for an exciting sequel that is sure to keep bringing more questions with very few answers. 8/10 good read.

Fantastic Read

First the narrator: Fantastic job drawing you in. The difference in the characters isn’t just a voice change, they all feel different too. Perkins is quickly becoming my favorite narrator so far.

The book: I had a difficult time getting into the first book, but this one I was immediately into it. The writing has improved exponentially and this has gone on to become a beloved and one of my favorite book series. I am excited to continue on.

Not sure where we are going yet

Gewey Steading is still a mortal god bonded to an elf after only knowing her a couple weeks. The dark one is still building power, not sure why. He seems to be able to stop Gewey whenever he wants now. still, the book is fun with a great performance.

Good series

The series is enjoyable, and a good listen. It has very few surprises or intrigue. It has capitated me enough to download book 3.
Mr. Perkins is always a pleasure to hear.

Loving the take on elves

Some parts of the story feel. Bit clunky and there are some terms too close to Goodkinds works especially when Geweys internal monologue says bringer of death. That aside I really like this series.

Can't stand his voices sorry.

I don't enjoy his voice at all, usually shy away from anything he reads. the book itself is fine mostly worth listening to, it's a personal preference thing, I'll give it 5 still.
