Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden comes an emotional new story about two troubled souls sharing one all-encompassing love.…

The dark secret Kayden has kept hidden for years is finally out. Worse, he's facing charges for battery. The only way to clear his name is for Callie to speak up - something he'll never ask her to do. Instead, he'll do whatever he must to protect her…even if it means letting go of the only girl he's ever loved.

Callie knows Kayden is going back to his dark place and desperately wants to save him. But that means facing her greatest fear and admitting her own painful secrets aloud. The thought of breaking her silence terrifies her - but not as much as the thought of losing Kayden forever.

Deep in her heart, Callie knows the time has come for her and Kayden to forget the pain of the past. With the help of her friends Seth and Luke she makes a plan to show Kayden the life they could have. But can she convince him they can make a fresh start together - or is she already too late?

Redemption ending

Finally an ending worth reaching. I adored the characters developed in book one and am relieved to see Callie and Kayden remedy their demons and move forward. I enjoy a book that isn't an ending tied in a perfect bow but let's you see the growth of the characters and the progress they've made over the storyline. The narration was okay and did not distract from the feel of the storyline but I don't think voice changes were necessary. Regardless I still enjoyed it.

Didn't like the ending

I loved book 1 and this one until the end. I feel like the author just ended the story when there was more to be said. I wanted to know how they went on with their lives. Did they stay together? Did he ever press charges on his dad? Did they find his dad?

A Fabulous Book. An Unsatisfying Ending.

Let's hope there's more because the ending was not so much an ending. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first. Sorensen creates engaging character that absolutely insist on readers investing in the outcome. The obstacles these young adults overcome are tragic but the manner it's presented isn't over-dramatized. Ever since The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (book one), I've been waiting to know what happens and was frustrated at the end. My only hope is that as Luke and Violet's story is presented, we'll get more of Callie and Kayden. I want to see thier HEA. They deserve it... and I deserve it too!

Great, satisfying ending

This was hard to listen to at times, but I loved the four main characters. It was great to see Kayden and Callie working on healing at the end.

Not the best told story or performance

So idk if I missed something but none of the four main characters have tight bonds with their parents nor do they have jobs...so HOW? do they stay in hotels, travel, go out to eat, ect.? that fact alone drove me crazy how they were spending money left and right and there was no way for them to get money (unless I missed something). The performance wasn't emotional enough for the storyline. The story is an emotional rollercoaster but the narrator doesn't really portray the emotions very well. I wont be listening to this again. I didn't really like it.
