Publisher's summary
Yes, there are more tales from the Black Hart Library and this effort was titled accordingly. You might ask, “And what will follow this? Even More Tales?” Stay tuned friends. When we last saw the Professor, he had just finished crashing an RDAS (Royal Dirigible Airship Service) airship following their encounter with the perfidious Livonians. Certainly, Wing Commander Wendell was not pleased by the damage (from an insurance perspective, he totaled it) to her very nice dirigible, and she was last seen puffing agitatedly on her Peterson briar pipe all the while waving hands and shouting out orders. There was even the implicit consideration that she might have Lieutenant Sarah shoot the Professor. In proper Heath Robinson fashion, the Professor, Red Sparks and the lads were able to reassemble RDAS Durham from the bits spread over the hillside much like a Heathkit. And so, this effort continues to tell the story of the Professor and his adventurous associates. A number of characters from the earlier literary exercise, The Dirigible Pirates, which chronicled the Professor’s early years, also make a return appearance and provide closure to a number of prior uncertainties, in effect, making this a trilogy. At the same time, Doctor Minneapolis St. Paul continues her nefarious ways. As has often been observed, evil never goes on holiday. Even if she is wearing a very proper, and freshly starched, peppermint striped blouse.
