Publisher's summary

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

In The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s number one New York Times best-selling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor now wields the sword Callandor. He is both the Champion of Light and the Dragon Reborn. Now, he seeks answers to another prophecy that lies with the warrior people known as the Aiel to put him on the path of learning how to wield the One Power.

Accompanied by Moiraine Damodred, Rand arrives at the Aiel Waste and is granted permission by the Wise Ones to enter the sacred city of Rhuidean. After passing through a doorframe ter'angreal, Moiraine gains foresight while the Aiel await Rand's return, either with both arms marked by dragon symbols, validating his identity as He Who Comes With the Dawn, the Chief of Chiefs of all the Aiel - or to never emerge at all.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant number one New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Definately worth reading

Jordan has successfully created an interesting new fantasy world, but the strength in his characters, the hardships they go through, the obligations that pull them so many ways you never know which way they'll choose, makes it something more. The story divisions are becoming a little hard to follow though--I think it splits to at least 4 different locations, not to mention points of view.

I love the wot even though it’s flawed.

The wot series all the way from now till it’s conclusion has some of the best world building and characters you will ever find. It’s fault being to detailed which almost doesn’t seem possible to be a fault but is as time goes on.

Not what I expected.

I have listen to the first three books and I didn’t think they were going to get better but this book turned it all around. I can see what this story could be truly be. I hope the nexts one’s are just like this one and only get better

Status Quo for Robert Jordan..

Once again The Wheel of Time has me completely captivated. I have an extremely dangerous and stressful job, but this story allows my mind to escape elsewhere. Jordan really paints his characters into life. You feel what they feel. You begin to see through their eyes. And that is a rarity these days. 10/10. Absolutely wonderful.

Shadow Rising

Well worth the time. This gets intricate so don't skip any part. Character development is good.

Awesome story continued!

The readers do a decent job, but butcher many names with phonetic dictionary unnoticed.

Long but captivating

Listening to this one took more time than the first three for me. It gives you a lot to chew on, and the characters grow quite a bit here. There were many scenes which will remain with me. Highly encourage you to listen to this book and become lost in this world.
