Publisher's summary

I'm a gay preacher with more tattoos than sense and more notches on my bedpost than years in the ministry.

You've heard of those romances where the priest is seduced by the worldly outsider? Yeah, this isn't that.

I'm also not totally settled on the existence of God. Call me a skeptic, but when you work with abandoned and abused teenagers, you tend to have a few questions for anyone calling themselves divine.

Having lived in Seguin most of my life, I've always been the troublemaker. Most of my queer friends fled this place just after high school, but we all know that the only reason any of us made it out alive was our shop teacher, Mr. Paige. He lovingly called us his Lost Boys. Now that his health is failing, the Lost Boys are coming together to support him and his family.

To be honest, I may have been more supportive of Mr. Paige's son than was totally appropriate for a guy in a collar. Turns out, just like the Lost Boys, Holden had good reason to leave Seguin all those years ago.

Despite his history, I'm hoping he's willing to find a reason to stay.

The Skeptic is a spicy, emotional romance that features a faithless preacher, a hot nerd, and the phrase, "Forgive me, Father, for I am about to sin."

So freaking good!

This story absolutely destroyed me in the best way possible when I read it. Listening to it with Declan Winters flawless narration made it so much more. Hearing the characters come to life with his voice and perfect emotion for every situation within the story is perfection.

All the Feels

Just read this book for the second time. I have read most of this incredibly talented author’s books. The love, grief, challenges and persistence are portrayed so beautifully. I also deeply appreciate her sense of humor and her ability to discuss difficult topics so compassionately.

So Good!

This is an amazing story about tender long lasting love and the broken pieces that get us there. With a side of devilish humor.

So good

I loved this book when I read it and the narration takes it to another level. This story makes me ugly cry and use so many tissues, but it is wonderful and uplifting.

Seguin!!

As someone who recently moved from this area, I loved seeing this story as a beacon of hope for the future. I loved the characters, adored the story, and found the reading exceptional (are we sure this is read by a single person??).

Very much worth reading.

Freaking amazing and bring the tissues

OMG! So I sobbed reading this book and I knew going into listening to this that Mr. Winters would just bring this alive and bring on the tears. I totally wasn't wrong. Every book he does, he amazes me with his skill. This series is going to be at the top of my favorites list.

Forgive me, Father, for I’m about to sin

A seminary school dropout, Beckett has decided being a priest is not for him. He gets back on his feet back home where Mr. Paige, his former high school teacher and mentor, finds him an apartment and nudges him toward ministry on his own terms. Sparks fly for Beckett when Mr, Paige’s hot nerd son, Holden, moves back in town. Will tragedy bring Holden, Beckett, and family together or push them apart?

This is book 1 of the Lost Boys series. In the town of Seguin Texas, high school teacher, Mr Paige, started an LGBTQ student group before those were a thing. He called them his Lost Boys. After tragedy strikes, the original lost boys reunite in their hometown. The series is about the town’s recent changes, the lost boys finding their way, and discovering love. I have listened to 500+ MM romance books and I can tell you; this series is something special. It should win awards.

This book has the most shockingly good prologue scene I have ever read. Priest kink is included, if you are into that. Be sure to check the trigger warnings.

Declan Winters was excellent.
