Publisher's summary

Far more than a "business memoir", What Are the Odds? is a raw, authentic account by a man many thought would never rise above his serial, addiction-fueled failures. Mike's gripping narrative transports listeners from his small-town tavern with its colorful cast of "regulars" to Mexico and a drug deal gone awry. From Las Vegas casinos, where Mike won and lost fortunes as a professional gambler, to a jail-cell beatdown. From failed rehabs to his 20-year marriage, an ideal union decimated by addiction. And finally, to the redemption of the most shameful moment of his life.

An unvarnished account of the ravages of cocaine, crack, and gambling addiction, What Are the Odds? tells the improbable tale of how a small-town guy with a dream somehow made it a reality. More importantly, Mike opens up about the God who relentlessly chased him down, turning him from a casual believer to a passionate evangelist with an absolute, mathematical certainty that God is real. What Are the Odds? will not only speak to entrepreneurs and those struggling with addiction, but also to anyone looking for a message of hope.

Couldn’t stop listening.

His story connected with me to the bone. Having been through addiction, not at his level, and having made mistakes in my own life, I for some reason enjoyed the ride he took me on. I think it’s because knowing that the story wasn’t going to end in tragedy but triumph is why I kept listening. It’s a story that lots of people who are struggling with life can listen to and find hope. Not just any hope, the hope that is eternal! Jesus Christ is that hope and there is nothing like it. PS. I think this is the first review I’ve ever given...

Oh he’s not kidding about the crackhead title

Lindell is not an intellectual, and not always the most articulate but his life’s story is something I’d love to see played out on screen. This was quite a story. If you appreciate genuine life stories, this book could be for you. I believe everything in this book occurred with minimal exaggeration. There are exciting parts which really don’t seem exaggerated, especially the way Mike Lindell tells it. He’s honest about his degenerative behaviors and admits his mistakes. I for one, appreciate honest and flawed characters.

What a crazy life story!

The stories Mike tells about his life are truly wild! I am thoroughly impressed with his determination and perseverance in the face of losing everything multiple times, and the insane happenings that saved his ass multiple times are mind blowing! Entertaining, thrilling, and highly recommended! P.S. I just ordered a MyPillow while listening to the final chapter! Your book sold me on it Mike!

Grace and mercy on display.

God gave Lindell grace and mercy throughout his life. Definitely, he was called for a time like this.

Truly unreal

An unbelievable story of crushing rock bottoms and supernatural overcomings. What makes this book great is the same thing that made MyPillow great— Mike just being Mike. And turns out, he’s a great storyteller as well.

Amazing story of redemption & Gods grace & power!

This is a great book! An incredible story of Gods redemption, restoration, divine connections, and pursuit of Mike Lindell (and really God does this for all of us)! Very encouraging to hear this mans story & journey and what God has done and is doing in his life. And now what Mike is doing to turn his brokenness & healing to help others who are broken, addicted & need help & healing. Love it!

inspirational roller coaster ride

This is one of those books that you dread the thought of it ending. The story of the my pillow guy Mike Lindell is a testament that one should never give up hope. My experience listening to Mike tell his story in his own words was at times an emotional roller coaster ride. I commend him for his brutal honesty sharing some of his darkest times. His story was a treasure Trove of inspirational events that each and every one of us can add to the tools of our tool box called life.

Mr. Lindell
I hope one day I have the privilege of meeting you at a book signing so I can shake your hand thank you in person
