MMMMM WOW...

Of all the brothers I was most excited to see where John Matthew headed, I knew he loved Xhex and always knew her issues where going to be hard to bare, but darn if the young boy alone all his life knew the right moves, He is passionate, loving, strong and one of the kindest brothers, I thought Rev's was my favorite, but JM moved him over lol... This is a spellbounding series, long listening, action packed, nerve racking, sexy, I was sad when it was over, I felt I left my friends behind :(...

It kinda feels like the entire series revolve around john Matthew and I love every minute if it! Qhuinn and Blay are awesome in this book!

Another great book

Lots of history in this book. It ties several things together! I had a hard time stopping this book.

horrible audio editing but great story

I have enjoyed most of the books in this series so far with the exception of a couple weak leads. the major downfall is the horrible audio editing. the first book is the worst. Quality began to get better and then suddenly it craps out again. This is very distracting. I would expect poorer quality on very cheap or free books but this continues into the higher priced books. I love the story. I am very disappointed in the audio quality.

JR Ward is the best, and this book is one of her best. I love the narrator, he's perfect for this series.

Never boring

Another JR. Ward favorite, the Black Dagger Brotherhood.....you get addicted.....can't wait for 'The Shadows' to come out! And many more!

BDB just keeps getting better!

I have read all of the BDB books and this one is my favorite! JR Ward sure knows how tell a tale that wakes you up inside and launches you into a world that is terrifying and compelling and that is just the relationship part. John and Xhex made me laugh and cry too many times to count. The "Big Picture" aspect of the series is amzing! I love the different take on vampires. There are some social lessons to be learned here too! We all have the same basic needs and hopes for ourselves and those we love. That is too cool. I would like to applaud JR Ward too for making the relationship between Quinn and Blay no different than any other. I found myself realting to the relationship on a very basic level. Back to that basic need thing again;) I love this series and so do all the people I recomended it too!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!

This series was recommended to me because I became a paranormal romance reader/listener since the Twilight series. I was looking for something that was exclusively for adults, and THIS WAS IT!! I have listened to all J.R. Ward's BDB books and starting on her newest series. She is so talented and knows how to hook her audience. Everyone I have recommended the series to so far has been addicted!

Xhex and John together at last

Where does Lover Mine rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the Black Dagger Brotherhood this audiobook is at the top, but among all my audiobooks this would be among the middle. Although I loved the story of Xhex getting away from Lash and John helping her recover, the story that included Darius and Tohrment is subdue in regard to the rest of the story.

Would you be willing to try another book from J. R. Ward? Why or why not?

I have all of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books and audiobooks, the story are all exciting and the characters are complex. They all have their flaws, but they are fun together. Some of the stories are so intense that they are sometimes hard to read again. I tried the angel series but it was to depressing to continue to read.

What does Jim Frangione bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everything, I originally heard the Black Dagger Brotherhood through my library's audiobook selection. Every nuance and dialect is used and all the characters are brought to living color. If it wasn't for how I felt about the audio version I would have never found this series.

Love, Love this very complex and intense series. I wonder what goes on J.R. Ward's mind, because there is so much involved that I wonder how she falls asleep at night.

I Loved Lover Mine

I have loved John Matthew since book one. I love this series. John has wanted Xhex since the first time he has met her. Lover Mine picks up a few weeks after Lover Avenged left off were Lash kidnapped Xhex in this book Lash has become sick and twisted and his Omega father has had enough of him. Lash is holding Xhex in a brownstone bound by a magical spell. She is trapped in a bedroom invisible to all except Lash. She is determined to fight him with everything she has in hopes of finding a way out or until the brotherhood finds her. Lash's purpose for abducting Xhex is vengeance. Xhex killed his lover and he plans to take his revenge on her slowly and painfully. But Xhex puts up a vicious fight and he finds himself falling for her in his sick sadistic way. John is hell bent on getting her back he realizes that he is in love with her. He is not sure if she is alive or dead but he is determined to bring her home one way or another. Know one knows his feelings for Xhex his boys has some idea, but he doesn't ask the brothers for help finding her. What I liked about this book was that John would do anything to get her back I also liked how the book went back to Xhex's birth and how Darius and Tohr helped her mother No'One which was later revealed, after she was taken by a sympathy and how after her birth her mother killed herself. The book also goes into the complicated relationship between Qhuinn and Blay they once had a bond of friendship since before their transition. But this relationship is complicated by Blay's feelings for Qhuinn that go far beyond friendship. He has come to terms with the fact that he is gay and he is in love with Qhuinn. Qhuinn has always been promiscuous even knowing on some level how hurtful it is for Blay. But, there may be reasons for why Qhuinn behaves the way he does. When Qhuinn's cousin Saxton asks Blay out on a date, Qhuinn's protectiveness toward Blay kicks into high gear, claiming he doesn't want Blay to be hurt by Saxton. In all honestly though, jealously is at the root of his behavior. I think that in some ways Qhuinn is confused he wants Blay and doesn't know how to tell him he's jealous and doesn't want him to be with anyone else at the same time he doesn't him. Blay for his part is tired of waiting sitting by watching Qhuinn the man whore stick anything moving but him so he decides it's time to move on. John also mends his relationship with Tohr, which I was glad Tohr has been following John making sure that he was safe. I am so glad that this book had a happy ending and I am looking forward to continuing this series although for some reason the next book isn't about one of the brother's which is making me a little iffy about.
