Critic reviews

"[A] brooding supernatural Western tale that turns in your grasp and bites you like a rattlesnake when you’re least expecting it." ( Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review)

Tedious like a romance novel.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I was expecting an action or adventure movie. Instead we are delivered a harlequin romance book.

Any additional comments?

This is listed an adventure book. Not so. I found it overly wordy and written for someone that enjoys the vapidness of this character type. Victorian style women in a "man's world". The "character's musings" are like Walter Mitty, but she fantasizes about boring things and the tedious details of her like. I wanted to like this. The premise seemed like a winner. But the voice of the writer was not for me.
