About this listen

A space cloud of unknown composition is on a collision course with Earth as the world holds its breath.

The anomaly sails through the solar system, and the International Space Station, along with three astronauts and one cosmonaut, are thrown back to the Cretaceous period, where dinosaurs roam Earth hunting prey and great pterosaurs patrol the skies.

Supplies on the station run low and desperation takes hold, but morale grows when the crew sees a bright multi-colored light blinking on the surface below. The astronauts decide to evacuate the station in the Soyuz escape capsule and investigate. As the adventurers struggle to survive in the primordial jungle, the party discovers artifacts of an ancient civilization that could help them find the light beacon. If they can stay alive long enough.

This could be a much better book

This was an audiobook in the Plus Catalog and I felt it was worth listening to.

In the beginning I really liked the premise of this story. However it wasn't long before it bogged down and got very repetitive in the scenes.

There were a few unexpected surprises that kept me listening and with three hours left, I gritted my teeth, (metaphorically speaking), and finished it today.

While the audiobook ends, the story does not, and it stopped on an unsatisfactory scene. I did look around for a 2nd book. Sadly there is none.

As far as I am concerned it was a waste of 7 hours and 24 minutes.

The one shining light in this audiobook was the Narrator, Jack de Golia! He is a very good voice actor. I have listened to various audiobooks that he has narrated. It was also what kept me listening to the last 3 hours of the audiobook. I have never listened to a "bad" audiobook narration by him. Alas, too bad he didn't write the book.

Even with this audiobook being "free" to listen to, I was really disappointed in it.

A bit long-winded, but pretty good overall

I Enjoyed this story, but I felt like it took the author a little long to get to the point. A little disappointed in how it ended because we never got a “conclusion“. Especially with how drawn out the story was. But a good listen nonetheless.

Honest Review

I'm pretty sure this was written by an A.I. it's awkward, repetitive, and downright boring. The narrator is not talented enough to do vmfunny voices or sound effects. pleas don't This isn't a story so much as a series of scenes. I listened to this for free and am still dissatisfied. Why doesn't Audible put GOOD books on the Audible plus list?
