The Myth of Capitalism tells the story of how America has gone from an open, competitive marketplace to an economy where a few very powerful companies dominate key industries that affect our daily lives. Digital monopolies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon are gatekeepers to the digital world. Amazon is capturing almost all online shopping dollars. We have the illusion of choice, but for most critical decisions, we have only one or two companies when it comes to high speed internet, health insurance, medical care, mortgage title insurance, or even consumer goods like toothpaste.

Publisher's summary
A clear, simple, and complete guide for beginning investors from best-selling author Mary Buffett and Sean Seah that explains Warren Buffett’s techniques of value investing and his proven strategies to ensure long-term success.
For 12 years, Mary Buffett was part of the Buffett inner circle. During that time, she studied Warren’s investment strategies and techniques and observed his habits. Now, in 7 Secrets to Investing Like Warren Buffett, Mary and Sean Seah provide a complete guide for beginning investors who want to understand how to invest like Warren Buffett.
Mary and Sean walk listeners through the process of assessing and buying stocks step-by-step. Their friendly and direct style and concrete examples make it easy to understand how to avoid common pitfalls and prosper in the stock market. The first section of the audiobook discusses habits to adopt to begin a lifelong journey of wealth building. The second section examines specific stock-picking techniques inspired by Buffett’s teacher, Benjamin Graham, and that are vastly different from the common Wall Street wisdom of trying to time the market. The authors look at timeless principles as well as latest ideas on where to find great investment ideas, and they share the specific financial indicators they look for in a good investment. Finally, Mary and Sean explain how to build and track a portfolio of stocks.
From learning how to read financial statements to preparing both personal and professional balance sheets, 7 Secrets to Investing Like Warren Buffett is a must-have companion for every investor. Simple questionnaires, charts, and graphs help illustrate specific strategies. The authors’ personal stories provide a clear explanation of the theory behind value investing, as well as advice for developing the necessary "soft skills" - habits, mindset, loving what you do, taking care of your mind and body - that have made Warren Buffett and many others so successful.

Many investors, including some with substantial portfolios, have only the sketchiest idea of how the stock market works. The reason, say Lynch and Rothchild, is that the basics of investing aren't taught in school. At a time when individuals have to make important decisions about saving for college and 401(k) retirement funds, this failure to provide a basic education in investing can have tragic consequences.

Was pretty basic but a good listen
This wasn't exactly a story but coming from Warren Buffett's daughter it was a good insight into what makes him tick and good for investors in general unless you have been doing it a long time. Basic valuation techniques and instruction on general ways Buffett has made himself wealthy from investing.
The narrators made it interesting even for somebody who has done a lot of investing and for what could be a really dry book added some good understanding of the topic themselves. There is nothing worse than people who read audiobooks who don't really understand much of what they're saying and both of these narrators were excellent and obviously intelligent. So I listened to the whole thing even though I already knew most of what they said. Enjoyable and good for a person just starting out investing for themselves.

To invest wisely from the beginning listen to this
This should be a companion piece to The Myth of Capitalism by Jonathan Tepper. I bought the Warren Buffet audiobook because I liked the narrator after hearing The Myth of Capitalism but the two books are really complimentary and the male narrator in this is very good, too. This is really how Buffett chooses his stocks from what I have read about him, and the capitalism books shows you the reasons industries and companies get on his list.
This is written well for a new investor and some of the insights and strategies into how Buffett developed his strategies and some of his discipline and habits can also be interesting to experienced investors as well even though the basics of understanding a balance sheet and financials is basic. But sometimes you need to get back to the basics, too. Either way it was an enjoyable listen. I always speed my audiobooks up to about 1.25x and these narrators still sound good.

I enjoyed reading Mary's book "Interpretation of financial statements" which was much more informative.
This is an entry level book for investors. It's a good book to start, but if you already have some knowledge - don't go for it.
