About this listen

Victoria Zdrok, J.D., Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and certified sex therapist, and the only woman in history to be named both Playboy Playmate of the Month and Penthouse Pet of the Year. She is the ultimate insider, and this is the comprehensive guide to every male fantasy: that of meeting, hooking up with, and dating attractive and alluring women, from the girl next door to the centerfold of your dreams.

Dr. Z grounds her methods in scientific research and field-tested facts, using her years of experience in academia and as one of the world's most popular models to formulate a seduction manual complete with all the secret, sure-fire tips men have always wanted to know (and women hoped they would never find out).

Dr. Z on Scoring contains illuminating lists (from things to avoid talking about on a first date to ways to last longer in the sack), confidence-building exercises, and a step-by-step strategy to help any man not only find and talk to his dream woman but also to take her to bed - and satisfy her once he gets there.

Pretty good for a naked lady

The accent is charming and the material covered pretty well in layman terms. It might be considered overly long, but I think justice was done. Non-novices will recognize most of this material, but for a one-stop shop, it does very well. Individual areas are easily eclipsed elsewhere with greater depth, priority, accentuation, and with better examples perhaps. This is a 102 textbook, a bit better than back-to-basics, or perhaps a Thai-food sampler - enough but not too much. Each chapter is summarized and Cliff-noted at the end. This is a very nice listen and worth the time. By the way, you are NOT going to pick up, seduce, and hook up with hot babes by reading a book.

Not bad, but old hat

I can sum up this book with a few simple sentences. Pay attention to your partner and communicate. Treat them like you want to be treated. There I saved you a credit. Its just another self help book. If you can't pick up girls now, you won't after you listen to this one either.

It would fit better in the memoir genre

Charming accent, work based on a handful of interviews, and personal anecdotes; It doesn't really matter whether the opinions come from centerfold models or any other woman, a lot of them come from the adult entertainment industry. We all want to look and sound goog during interviews. Do we always tell the truth? Respect for the author, though, who is better educated. I lived in Milan, Italy, where the most beautiful women in the world try to make it in the fashion industry, many are so beautiful, and you never see them as centerfold models. I met quite a few and each has a different male or female prototype, hence I doubt anybody can concoct the perfect formula for the best pick up. Dr Z likes men with Armani suits, Dr No likes men with no teeth, who knows why, and better, who cares? I observed Italian men, and must admit to have learned a lot from them. Maybe being organic is the best approach, and let the other seduce you, by keeping your eyes open. That's how they do it over there. By the way, this was a casual read, I love to read anything every single day. Sorry Dr. Z, I'll try to do better by listening to part two. P.S. Robert Greene's The Art of Seduction is mentioned quite often, to me, it is definetely the bible. I must read it 1000 times, everything is there, complete with the games of life we all play every day. Oh...forgive Dr Z. Will talk more at Starbucks some day.

Doctor Z, on how I can never score

Is there anything you would change about this book?

no/ the information she provides in this book is factually accurate, I might ask someone else to read it, her accent is a little hard to understand at times.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

learning what REALLY turns women on... and discovering I don't have it at all >.<

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Victoria Zdrok?

Daryl Hannah

Was Dr. Z on Scoring worth the listening time?

yes. I learned all the things I cannot change to get women interested in me.

Any additional comments?

somebody just shoot me now. forget scoring with Hot Women, I cannot even score with below average women!

Well Done

Ok, I have spent the last 3 years reading everything about Women and How to meet them. From 'The Game' to 'Frogs into Princesses' and NLP, this one is legit.

A bit risque at times, but truthful to the core. Some thoughts such as when approaching a beautiful woman that simple 'It is rare to see not only a beautiful but highly intelligent woman' works (as it is honest compliments..) That one lead to a amazing night out.
So I give it honesty, listen to women if you want to date them. She is not only a PhD but also a Penthouse Pet. Listen to this one.
I would also reccomend anything by Robert Green such as 'The Art of Seduction'

The worst kind of pop psychology

I was hoping for something more interesting given the author's extensive academic credentials and experience as subject of a persistent male gaze. I thought that Dr. Z would have some unique insight into romantic relationships and human sexuality. What I got was a lot of dull, recycled, drivel that, surprisingly, reduced women to automatons that dispensed sex when the correct buttons were pushed in the right order. Completely lacking in any unique insight or sensible advice, it was a waste of my time and money.

If you want something interesting, read Sex at Dawn. If you want something entertaining, and intermittently helpful*, read anything by Dan Savage. Do not spend your time on this empty, thoughtless pablum.

I'm trying to imagine who would actually have use for this book. Perhaps, if you've been living in isolation, raised since infancy by monks in a secluded part of the Himalayan mountains, and have never seen a woman before, this might be a good introduction to interacting with them on a social level. Just remember that you will eventually reach a point at which you need to discard its teachings as the lessons taught to a child who cannot fully grasp the complexities of metaphysical conundrums. It's an acolyte's doctrine, but not to be taken as dogma. If that does not describe you, don't buy this book.

*It's not that Savage isn't generally saying things worth while, but his writing encompasses so many different areas of sexuality, it won't always have direct bearing on the lives of cis hetero males. But it will be well written and thoughtful.
