Critic reviews

"As this hero and heroine struggle to uncover the truth behind a series of frightening events, Warren packs in lots of action and sexy sizzle." (Romantic Times)

Another Great Christine Warren Read

I really wish that she would go into the realm of the werelions more often. It is a nice departure from all of the other werewolf and vampire books out there. Warren always writes a story that you don't want to stop listening to (or reading) and Kate Reading is one of the best as far as narration goes. I've yet to come across one of the series that I didn't like, and am purchasing #10 today.

Author and Narrator

I love this book. The one two punch of an excellent writer with an excellent narrator cannot be under estimated. That always keeps me coming back for more!

Different venue and very good!

hate-crimes, veterinarian, shifters, law-enforcement, suspense

I've read several of the books in this series, and this one definitely stands alone. The sheriff (a lion shifter) brings a badly wounded Lupine to the town veterinarian, and then the fur begins to fly. The problems escalate as does the suspense. It's a wild ride to the end!

way too slow

Would you try another book from Christine Warren and/or Kate Reading?

I jumped from Drive me Wild to this one. Drive me wild very good, but too short.
This still has humor, but just did not do it for me. I purchased as it was a paranoramal Lion shifter. Not much of this lion at all. review was a good teaser, but did not deliver.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

make it a bit faster pace

What aspect of Kate Reading’s performance would you have changed?

she is pretty good

Any additional comments?

I do not think I will try any more. Either too short or long and boring. Maybe a better editor.
the author has the humor and just needs a rewrite on her outlines
