About this listen

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.

It's more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine...and it's coming between her and the man she's fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.

Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life-altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far-reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.

If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels and work not only with those she loves but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.

Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves - and, ultimately, to save herself.

Meehhh

It was alright. I loved the first 2 books but this one had a lot of self pity and whining.

name change

In the first two books, the order leader name is David.. a quarter way through the book 3 and the narrator starts calling him Daniel. I had to go back to my paperbacks and make sure I wasn't going crazy. lol

No, say it aint so Joe!

Good story line, but a little slow the first half of the book. I hope another book follows soon. Would love to see this storyline to have closure.

beautiful!!

I love this book! especially how it so modern with shipping companies and popular restaurants. It's funny, kickass, cheesy but romantic, emotion-filled, adventurous, and very thrilling! one of the best I've read.

Wonderful story and narrator!

The whole trilogy was great! One of the best by Armentrout. The narrator did a great job with the different character voices and personalities as well.

Nice idea, wasn't well enough executed

I've read flesh and blood series and enjoyed it a lot.
This series started promising with likable characters and good premise.

However the main character decisions were not logical and mainly served to move the plot, there was too much time spent on dealing with the trauma and the plot of the second book should have some trigger alerts.
All in all I wouldn't recommend reading this series

Not impressed

I didn't enjoy the 3rd book compared to the first two. This one was kind of cheesy in my opinion. I don't know why David's name got changed to Daniel either. Definitely threw me off the whole time and irritated me. I'm curious to why that is but....whatever I guess. I apologize for any offense taken in my opinion.

Battle

Fantastic ending! I loved it.
I loved the twist and turns, I never suspected.
OMG Tink hehe he is awesome just like I always said. He and the Summer Prince cracked me up I loved.
Ivy really grew for me in this book. She had a lot to work through and she does but what I think the biggest growth she learned was she isn’t alone in everything she had to learn to not only trust in Ren but let him see her venerable.

The ending wasn’t what I was expecting but it was so much more it really was kind of perfect.

I loved the narration and I am so glad it was the same narrator throughout she gave each character their own voice and it made the audiobook so enjoyable.

Meh

The other two books were decent, but this one feels like it was put together quickly to meet a deadline. Forgetting the character Daniel’s name was actually David was a pretty boneheaded mistake, and it made for less character impact when he was involved because “who is that Daniel guy again?” Also, there was a relatively crazed world-building effort near the end, which made it feel like there wasn’t a lot of thought put into the finer details of how everything fits together. Whoever edited this need to go back and take a class on continuity. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t particularly good either. I was glad to be done with it.
