Reese Olson went six and a third allowing just one earned run to earn his first win of the season. Kerry Carpenter hit a two-run home run in the first inning for the Tigers only offense of the game en route to the 2-1 win. Jason Foley pitched a scoreless eighth inning while Tyler Holton shut the door in the ninth for his second save of the season. Detroit Tigers have won two of the first three games of the series and will go for the series win tomorrow morning from Comerica Park. Casey Mize will start for the Detroit Tigers on the mound in the series finale.

Colt Keith hit his first career home run, and Kerry Carpenter hit his sixth home run of the season as the Detroit Tigers earned their first win after a five game losing streak. Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays have both won a game in the series with two more games to be played in the 4-game set. Reese Olson is scheduled to start tomorrow against the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball action.
