  • Summary

  • Indian cricket enthusiasts often joke about the influence of money, and corruption, and wonder if the wild results in the IPL are “scripted”. Cricketing authorities and media veer away from these subjects to go quickly to the pitches, pink balls, and fluorescent cheerleader outfits.

Welcome to The Dark Side of Cricket, a show that will shine a light on cricket’s not so shiny moments – from match-fixing and Dawood Ibrahim to doping and mental burnout. Keep listening to the Vice Original.

Jaw-dropping stories, excellent narration. Highly recommend

A must listen for those who know that cricket is more than a sport and want a glimpse of its dirty underbelly. Stories written with plenty of diligence and care, and told with narrators easy-going charisma. Also covers a variety of issues that don’t receive enough attention - labour, caste, sexism. Credit to the creators for pulling off some wild interviews. Very entertaining and informative.
