Cliffhanger

Liked Cas’ perspective. It was a good book. It’s a good filler book and the ending to me is a good starter point for the next.

OMG THE ENDING

I can’t believe we are left like that now I have to wait for the next book UGH!!!! It’s so good I agree with the others it should be illegal to be left hanging like that she will be hearing from my therapist as well

Loved the book but I hated the ending

It was amazing as usual. But it left me wanting too much more. It felt rather disappointing that we didn’t get to hear Poppy speak or anything. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book. This one just felt unfinished.

Must read

I cannot get enough of JLA books. I am a die hard fan. Probably never would have read ACOTAR if I was not chasing the high that these books gave me. And continue to give me. Nothing beats this fantasy story.

I Expected More

I was a bit underwhelmed by this installment. I really didnt need another point of view of the story; that could have been extrapolated easily or that can come as a spinoff when the whole story had been told. it just felt like a holding book pending when the story was ready to continue. Would have preferred the story progressed more and Cas' point of view kept to a minimum. I only really liked the 1st, 2nd and last chapters. This is the first time Jen has not impressed me so I hope the next books are back to her normal standard or far better.

Helps to understand Cas better

I honestly like hearing this story from Cas’s POV. It gives insight into why he seems so enamored with Poppy in books 2-4. I also like Tim Campbell reading for Cas, more so than Stina, and I hope the next book continues to switch back and forth between POVs so we can hear more of Tim narrating. I’ve read reviews of folks complaining that he sounds too old but I disagree. He sounds rugged and mature, exactly how I’d imagine a 200 year old Atlantian prince to be.

Looking forward to book 6!

love this series but where was the story

I'd be fine with all the rehashing of the first book if anything actually happened while he was talking to her. like it was just so so boring, I knew everything that was going to happen and how it happened already. only the first and last 20 minutes had any new substance. over all extremely disappointing, and I just hope something actually happens in the next book because this was just such a letdown. can not stress how exited I was for this book to come out but I'd rather just reread the first book again then have to sit through it all again with literally less substance. this really felt like a cop out of a book and should of been something that came out later, as like a special addition Cas perspective. time to wait for the actual book three I guess

Very Enjoyable

I went into this book, thinking that I would be disappointed because I knew it would be a story that I already read from Casteels point of view. However, I really feel that this author did a brilliant job of retelling the story in a different way with new snippets of information. This is such an excellently written book series and I only wish the next book in the series will come sooner than I’m sure it will. I’m not a huge fan of books leaving off on cliffhangers, but I get why it’s done.

Not enough

I love that we got a POV from Cass, but this felt like a retelling of FBAA. Yes, I know we got snippets of things that weren’t mentioned in FBAA that gave us answers, but there wasn’t enough of the current story line to give me much satisfaction. We got 12 chapters that continue the story line.. that’s just not enough to feel like I got a new book release. Now, will I keep reading them, of course, but I hope they don’t continue in this manner.
