Sooo Good!!
Loved the narrator’s performance/ voice. Stories were so varied and unique. I also hope they turn it into a movie. That would be awesome!

Horror Stories Reflecting Reality
Like the variety of authors and stories. Good stories with most having a length that retained your attention. The voices were excellent matches for the stories. I would recommend to horror enthusiasts.

atmospheric, psychological horror
I loved Get Out, with its subtle, psychological horror. No jump scares or gore, but a lot of ideas and impressions that stay with you.
This collection of stories occupies the same territory. It's not trying to smear its characters over the landscape. These stories are haunted by horrors that are with us all, in the background. These stories bring them into the foreground where we can't look past them. Horror indeed!

Pains me to say
I wanted to like this .. I really did. I was hyped to see Jordan Peeles name , black authors , and horror. But the majority of the stories lacked. I don’t want to say it was a waste of a credit but. I gave the story five stars because anything with horror is good with me

If not triggered by slavery
Some of the stories are delightfully with some shocking scary parts. I’m trying to figure out why so many slavery stories. I fast forward them by the third one. Too many for me but I will tell a friend about this book.
