Ayrion has been training to fight since he was old enough to walk. As far back as he can remember he’s always had one dream - to be the youngest warrior of his clan. Unfortunately, Ayrion learns the hard way that being the best isn't always a good thing.
After a tragic accident rips away his dreams and leaves him without a home, Ayrion heads south to the capital city of Aramoor in hopes of starting a new life. That journey will test him in ways he had never expected, forcing him to use every ounce of his training just to stay alive.
Battling highway bandits, river pirates, and even Cylmaran slavers, Ayrion finally reaches the walls of Aramoor to realize that his troubles have only just begun.
Mugged, robbed, and left for dead, Ayrion finds himself at the mercy of the city’s streets.
Can he learn to navigate Aramoor’s treacherous underbelly before it reaches up and swallows him whole?
Find out in the gripping first pair of tales, Banished and Hurricane, in the Street Rats of Aramoor saga.

Story
Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

Before the battle of the SandWing queens; before the prophecy and the dragonets sent to save Pyrrhia from endless war; a long, long time ago...evil was born. In alternating chapters this Wings of Fire special edition takes listeners back to the very beginning, when powerful, mythical dragons Clearsight, Fathom, and Darkstalker - the most dangerous dragon of all - were just dragonets. When the future was bright and uncertain, when no one had been betrayed or had their heart broken.

Very entertaining
Maybe it was the fact that this was narrated by Tim Gerard Reynolds (who does an amazing job as always) but this reminded me a lot of an RA Salvatore novel. The 16 hours of this book just flew by.
I think there is a lot of potential with this character. I hope when Wisehart concludes this trilogy he takes our main character out of the city because he painted an interesting world outside the city of Aramoor.
Great pacing and action. Not too much if any fluff here. It might be a little too PG for some folks used to grittier fantasy but I found it tremendously entertaining. Not every book has to be Sanderson or Abercrombie ;)
