Meh

I was disappointed! A lot of characters and storylines, but you never get to know the main character. Them a twist at the e d with a character that is barely mentioned. The narrator was the only good part of this book.

Great, entertaining read

The story was entertaining and fun. Great characters. Cristin Milioti’s reading was phenomenal. The combination of great story and narration, I enjoyed listening more I would have reading.

Pretty good story. Definitely wasn't able to guess the ending. Narrator did a great job of making this emersive.

Fabulous

I listened to this in less than a week, which says a lot for me. Books usually take me months but I couldn’t stop listening to this one!!!

From beginning to end I was hooked.

I really loved this book, but I was a little confused about the characters. Others have mentioned they had a hard time keeping straight who was who because there were so many characters in this book. I may wait a year and listen to it again and really pay attention to the characters. A real shocker ending. Great build up of suspense. Great book/listen, totally worth the one credit for sure.

I loved it

I couldn’t stop listening! I wanted more from the very beginning. It was very hard to turn off. You get wrapped up in all of the characters and you feel bad for what is going on throughout the book.

Very slow

There were so many ‘main’ characters that it got a little convoluted at times, and it took sooooo long to get to the actual plot. The narrator did a great job. I just felt like half of the middle could have been removed.

Excellent performance

Engaging thriller with a couple of somewhat clichéd plot twists, but couldn’t stop listening. Thoughtful storytelling of the emotional roller coaster of new motherhood and female identity, with some interesting and sympathetic characters. The narrator/performer is outstanding!

I liked it

As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother I’ve never known a perfect mother. Every child is different so you do have to make adjustments.

This book is rather confusing. The mother’s stories are scattered and rather “jerky”. Even at the end I still had questions. But I did enjoy listening while I went about my day. I did have to rewind several times.

I bought this on sale so I have no complaints.
