such a beautiful story but...
The narration made it phenomenal!
it's been a long time since I've found a book that I can't seem to walk away from. I "just one more chapter"-ed myself through the entire book. 😅

As Always with Wingate…Wonderful
I thoroughly enjoy Wingate’s books. She writes beautiful stories and keeps them clean, which I appreciate 100%. This is another beautifully written story that explores family relationships and perceptions we have of one another that are sometimes very false.

Great listen! Excellent narration!!

what an interesting story!
I was pleasantly surprised .. kept me awake most of the night .. and I have found a new favorite narrator ... Johanna Parker .. this lady gives an amazing voice to men, women, girls and especially, children. .. love her!

A beautiful story of forgiveness and hope
This was a beautifully written story about two women in different times of their lives. Their lives intertwined by love, loss and marriage. After a lifetime of anger and resentment toward her dad and step mother, out of obligation had to return to her childhood home and face her dad and stepmother due to their failing health. In the midst of that, she was dealing with her own marital problems. In the end love and hope won! It was a great book! Highly recommend.

Shedding childhood baggage
Overall good story, but a little predictable. The protagonist could’ve been a little less whiny and kids voices were annoying
