Profanity

The story is good but too many F words. They do not add to the story.

Interesting short story

‘Twas an interesting "novel" (short story) which was short on plot but full of sex (50%?). Being a short story it was extremely fast moving with little in the way of plot development.
I must admit that the plot, such as it was , was full of twist and turns that Alfred Hitchcock would be proud of. A good tale, but not one of Stuart Woods best.

I love Stone and Stuart Woods .. this is not my favorite book

Here's what happens; Stone and Dino and Viv on a boat relaxing. Stone nude under strategically placed towel. Sea Plane crashes near boat, Stone jumps in to save pilot. 911 called - helicopter and rescue diver appear - pilot taken away - diver stranded on boat. Diver pretty woman who happens to be wearing and bikini under gear, also a police officer. Meets nude Stone. Surprise they have sex. The plane disappears, the police woman, with off handed help from Stone, Dino and bunch of their network of people, works the case. Her Aunt dies she inherits money and neat stuff. Dino seems to question Stones loyalty along with that of wife Viv. Stones back in NY. Meets beautiful woman who claims kinship to Vance Calder. She needs a divorce lawyer, married to she says a gambler who she supports .. Stone recommends Herbie.. because well sex. Husband killed. The two women meet because the plots intersect.
Dino helps Stone see the rotten apple. One woman helps bring the other down.
I love Stuart Woods. I've very likely read everything he's written. Before and during writing his separate series he's written several one off books. I loved Chiefs (which turned out to be about a relative of Will Lee)
The Will Lee series, Holly Barker series, the one off about Rick Barron (the book that introduced Centurion Studios), I find Teddy Fay aka whoever he wants to be an awesome character. I love Stone and Dino and Viv, even Herbie managed to wiggle into my heart a bit. I really love that Woods has intersected my favorites into Stones world.
I am sometimes disappointed with the Stone series. I used to wish for more than one or two a year - now it seems that a book a quarter can mean the quality isn't consistent. In my opinion the weaker the plot the more sex Stone has and the more women he gets involved with. He's always been written as a ladies man - everything from serious relationships to threesomes. A Heavy plot means one woman or no women .. well it's only my opinion.

narrator is horrible

my favorite series of books. i've listened to the last three on audible, i just cringe during the whole book, the narrators voices are horrible. i think i have to go back to reading them. I'm so disappointed. I used to finish the books in 2 days. now it takes me 2-3 weeks. get a new narrator. ugh!!!

This is good, but there's been better.

I love Barrington novels. This one was a little too much on the trashy side for my taste.

Stewart Woods produces another humorous mystery

Stone Barrington stars in another of Stewart Woods book. Stone romps around with new women and other characters who appear with Stone in all of his adventures.
