The story

I liked the entire story it was exiting all the way through kept my attention and the ending was phenomenal

Terrible narration.

Monotone, emotionless, lifeless reading of this novel destroys any chance of enjoying this newest work from one of my favorite authors. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Might not even be able to listen to this snooze-inducing voice until the end of the book.

Perry does it again!

Seems way too long since he’s had a new book out. I found myself limiting my listen sessions to stretch it out. The Narrator was awesome!
Thanks Thomas for another great story and listen. Can’t wait for the next one!

Annoying Narrator

The narrator takes you out of the story with her horrible overacting. The dialog between characters comes off as completely unrealistic, with words being overemphasized for no reason. No human being would ever speak this way. It sounds like a parody of a bad TV show rather than a compelling thriller story.

Thomas Perry nails it!

Another great one, the pacing, very suspenseful, totally believable characters, another strong woman character if I say more I’ll have spoilers!

The usual Perry.

Good old thriller that keeps you rolling along. Good girl alone vs bad guys this time. The narrator is very boring unfortunately but luckily the story overcomes that drawback. If you like Perry you’ll like this one.

excellent story that kept me entertained while I am in bed fighting the latest illness. I love all this authors books.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

I've loved Thomas Perry since I read Jane Whitehall series in cheap paperbacks a zillion years ago. He's still as devious a master plot and character crafter as ever. Hero is a very satisfying dark tale of Good vs Evil. The protagonist is humanly flawed, very likable. A few humor bits thrown in- "He's a writer. He's a slave to his curiosity." I would welcome hearing more about these characters, or any others from Thomas Perry's fertile mind.

This is like a thrown together POS. Good lead character. Too many threads left unresolved. Poor ending. No depth to the characters. The idea some guy is going to help some woman in a coffee shop and let her stay with him in today’s society is absurd.

Another good author probably using AI to churn his stories out. Getting an Audible refund.
