The nature of small talk is to be uninteresting. Generic. Uninspiring. It's the method humans have quietly settled on in polite society to create bonds without offending anyone or being too vulnerable. Thus, it never leads to anything. No meaningful relationships are formed over small talk. The trick to great small talk is not to let it remain small. Small talk serves as a starter to a main course of conversation.

Best book on the subject.
Effective communication, according to this lecture, involves thoughtful communication. It offers practical advice on how to interact effectively with family, friends, coworkers, superiors, and subordinates. It comes highly recommended from me.

Good read
As a neurodivergent individual person I find myself struggling with right things to say in social interactions. I appreciate listening to literature like this for that reason. I would’ve liked to have added more information on how to respond during rejection on some of the advice given.

Useful and interesting guide
This is the third time I've listened to this book. I learn something fresh and intriguing every time I listen to it. It's jam-packed with so much information that just skimming it isn't enough.

like this book.
This began off a little sluggish for me, but it rapidly got really intriguing and educational. I've always had trouble communicating well, particularly when it comes to expressing my dissatisfaction. It has generated issues in my personal and professional relationships. This is an excellent book.

Well-explained!
I now have a whole different outlook on good communication and how it affects us. Very useful, well-structured, and helpful information. It's worth giving it a second or third listen. The voice quality is excellent, and I eagerly await more from this author.
