Close to half of all households have a dog or cat living in them at one point. When it comes to something like manage, which is not only uncomfortable for the pet, but also can create an unhealthy living space for humans, most pet owners want to be proactive about it. What I tried to do with this book was explain how they get manage, and how it is different than other skin conditions which cause shedding, and then try to present the pluses and minuses to treatment options."

The book details how to tell the difference between the various mites, how they affect the dog, and what remedies are effective in getting rid of them. It talks about oral medications, injected therapies like doramectin, dips, baths, and when to treat and when it may be best to allow it to work itself out of the system naturally.
