The story is great. The vocal performances enhance the story. A book I will listen to multiple times.

Another banger!!

JT never disappoints and nothing about this story was predictable. I loved it! Definitely reminds me of Penpal which is the first JT book I read so this was definitely in the running for the top 5.

a love story

Not a dark or steamy romance novel. A love story that is thoroughly enjoyable and well written.

Great story

I am so loving this author. She has a great style of writing that makes you guess at what happens next; the characters are so real; and excellent humor. I also love the way. The male characters read their voices and the female characters read their voices. I will definitely have to listen to this over and over again.

Well this was refreshing and just what I needed

Very JT and such amazing narration by Tara Langella and Troy Duran. Tara’s voice is so soothing and she’s an amazing voice actor 🤩

JT has some if the best FMC’s, loaded with a special kind of humor, sarcasm and great lines!
A storyline that keeps your attention and a twist and turn like she does.

not enough books like this in the world

it's similar to Pen Pal as far as how it makes me feel and oooh does it make me feel..... everything. Not many books are capable of pulling me in this far. Not many books get my long buried emotions riled up, chest aching and eyes swimming but this book managed it. For me.... Bittersweet indeed.

A love story

I enjoyed the story except for all the God hating and I don’t believe God is a woman or reincarnation but there was a story here and not just sex. I always automatically buy JT’s books but I’d have liked it better if I got it on sale.😉. I love Troy Duran and I thought Langella has a good performance in this book, she didn’t go over the top but stayed milder than some of her narrations. Overall I recommend. I do have to say that it gets old authors hating on and blaming God. I realize the “world” hates God, but it’s in so many books I buy and more from some of the same authors than others. Just give it a break. Not everyone that listens to your books hates God people.

Amazing!!

I could not put this one down and I finished it in one day. If you’ve read/listened to Pen Pal , this book has a similar feel, where you can tell that there’s more going on than what’s on the surface you just have to get to the end for it all to be explained. I love the way this author adds a supernatural kind of suspense to her stories and I would definitely recommend this one.

Emotional and kept my interest but not a feel good book

Spoiler alerts. The twist was not really a surprise. Emotional throughout and kept my interest. Not a sexy read. Frustrating that we don’t get his perspective until the end. Glad there was happy ending but ugh that was kind of a slog to get to at the end. And I feel like the big reveal was a little bit of a cheat when it comes to their relationship. It wasn’t about moving on and finding happiness in the life we have left. If I had lost a husband tragically and read this book I would be pissed because it doesn’t give much hope for anyone in the real world. The writing is very good however and the story is engaging. Great voice performances

Oh my!

This is the second time I listen to this book and just like the first time, I enjoyed it so much! JT is a master writer, her characters are perfection and the story is absolutely beautiful. I love the suspense in the story, the mystery, the slow burn, and the smut. The banter is perfection, and the mysterious man is absolutely addicting!
Additionally, Dark Star Romance has done an amazing job. (Per usual) at bringing this story to life. Beautiful in every way possible.
