Definitely worth your time

My one and only complaint is that the mc routinely doesn't see the blatantly obvious things that the readers can, even though she is supposed to have super human perception and processing speeds.

I hate the main character

She has super powers yet you wrote her as an idiot, the most obvious methods she just completely forgets. I tried to continue but I hate the whole "dumb ass" hero trope.

I LOVE IT exciting and fun

I love how there is a constant hint of possible romance but the main story is focused on her growth not just as a person but a student and friend. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

A unique take

The story line was wonderfully refreshing and unique for the genre. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

A more traditional fantasy isekai than the first

With the adventure of the first book finished Tess is looking for what is next. Luck kicks in and pushes her on to her next phase of life. Being adopted...

Don’t say they are smart and make them dumb

I’m halfway through and I’ve got to stop to say this. It was made a plot point multiple times that she should be smart. Not only in personal growth, but in stats it states she should be smart in both intellect AND WISDOM. Yet, she misses the obvious. SO MUCH. Most of her problems in doing anything is somehow not using her brain while having them as her highest stats. Add the therapy and there’s no excuse. It doesn’t matter if it was your main field of study, your job should at least had you go through basics and an aptitude to catch these kind of things as a therapist so your patients could be given to specialized people. And to qualify you had to show competence!!! I get the plot must go on, but let go of the idiot ball! Let anyone else who all have less wisdom and intelligence than you make the stupid! Or skip it!

Minor spoiler:

Right at this part, you went into a dungeon. You found a special room titled with ownership. You didn’t see anyone, so assumed it was flavor text. Fine. But then, you decide to do detect minds and detect five. You can’t detect yourself. You have four companions. And your companion is about to do something that will have an impact on the room. Instead of stopping him, you MONOLOG on how strange it is, and then go step by step on how strange it is, all while he goes on to say he’s doing it, then eventually with no speed does it as you ask yourself “why is five wierd?” And you cause an event. You could have skipped all this. You could have made this the motivation on why you should use that spell more often, because you would have known you weren’t alone. But doing it and FAILING TO CONSIDER THE OBVIOUS is stupid!

And also, stop debating the same topic over and over, move on or do something about it, but once we’ve gone through it once, just skip us listening in on her thoughts. It gets rather whiny after a while when she decides to do what she always does and ignores it till it’s too painful to. Just…please stop. I don’t need a refresher on how your girlfriend hates you. I was there, I don’t need a recap, my advice is if you’re going to complain about it instead of doing something when you have the opportunity to, then you’re just complaining.

A good bridge

The last book ended on a rather high note, and spent most of that book running around and very busy. This book is a bit slower, but also more focused. The point is Tess's growth and learning about the world she's in, instead of going around putting out fires.

I want more from her, but also her friends. Espdcially Jason. He rocks.

Worth the credit

The story itself is good there are some issues about the MC like most comments in this she can be a bit frustrating. It is also a bit annoying when something you been waiting for is about to be addressed just to be interrupted and put to the back of the line. But get passed those things it is a enjoyable listen.

Really loving this series, s little too much time spent on that class quest though. Can’t wait for next book.
