Variety’s “Hollywood’s New Leaders” list features Rachel Ghiazza, Audible EVP, Head of US Content, as one of its emerging entertainment luminaries. This prestigious achievement acknowledges the strides Ghiazza has helped Audible make in redefining a media category. Since joining us in 2020, Ghiazza has charted the path for an explosion of original content and talent collaborations, and led the launch of Audible’s first-ever all-you-can-listen streaming offering.

When the pandemic forced the entertainment industry to a halt, Ghiazza mobilized Audible’s worldwide studio teams to ramp up at-home production, keeping hundreds of creators, producers, and engineers employed while ensuring listeners who were sheltering in place had plenty of high-quality content to enjoy.

Under her leadership, Audible has become a powerhouse of audio storytelling and original content, accelerating the growth of genre-bending categories, like our storytelling-music hybrid “Words + Music” series featuring acclaimed musicians, and bringing extraordinary theatrical productions to listeners via Audible Theater. Ghiazza oversaw marketing of The Sandman and The Sandman Act II, adapted from the classic graphic novel series by Neil Gaiman, which have broken records as the best-selling Audible Originals in our history.
